I've only seen the first two but has anyone seen the others? How bad are they?

The third is hilariously bad. They still put some effort into the effects, but the plot and characters are like SyFy parodies. The fourth is pretty good because it knows it's limitations and tells a small but effective story. The fourth one has proper alien-mode with a human sex, also.

I wonder if another movie would be good, but use elements from Guyver; mostly with Aptom; resembling either his IVth form or Omega Blast form.

I like the Alien design.

On a distantly related note, why is it that in the Aliens Expanded Universe they never just fucking make power armor or send droids to kill xenomorphs? Why must they always continue to send marines with Thompsons and MG42s wearing pathetic armor? Why do they never use anything like the plasma, electromagnetic, or sonic weapons mentioned near the beginning of Aliens?

They do use synths, specialized infiltration and heavy combat ones, too, like Jeri and Dean. Even the basic Bishops are ungodly expensive, have a history of sedition, and are subject to Replicant-style hate and fear.

One of the most underappreciated abilities of the alien is its ability to exude a plot armor field that warps the ability for any other species to muster an effective and efficient means of exterminating the alien. This field tends to have a destructive interference with itself hence why groups of aliens tend to be trivial to mow down, but when you get it down to one of them everyone suddenly becomes incompetent as fuck.

Conveniently, it has no effect on predators.
