Were rumors about a new Front Mission fake? It has been ages

I thought it was just Square saying it was on the table at least. Square doesn't forget their old franchises exist, it's just that they tend to not do anything with them if the people who made said series left. It's why we'll probably never get another Ivalice game either.

I'd see a proper remake of Alternative, I think now it's probably the game with the most focus on tactics in the series instead of GO TRAIN IN THE SIMULATOR/ARENA UNTIL YOUR GUYS CAN HANDLE IT. Shame it was implemented kinda sloppily, there is a potential in this RTS style ting.
