TTGL reminds me of Star Wars Episode 7. Play all the checklist cliches right, and make the audience feel good, but then you start hating it after you realise how shallow and safe it was.

I'm mostly indifferent to TTGL, but I do find its popularity baffling. It's such a safe and by the numbers show that I truly don't understand why it threw the internet into an absolute uproar over it. With Code Geass, it makes sense. With NGE, it makes somewhat less sense, but I still understand. But TTGL? Even during its time, there many, many other shows airing that were just like it.

I don't hate TTGL but I will say it has some faults with connecting storylines together. The show seems to go from 0-60 then back to 0 going up to 60, stopping and repeating the cycle.
