I don't even know how the two can be compared. At all. They're nothing alike. Mamoru's a special snowflake little kid whose personality consists of GAI NIICHAN GAI NIICHAN GAI NIICHAN GAI NIICHAN GAI NIICHAN ad infinitum and not much else. Chirico's a special snowflake super soldier with PTSD whose entire character can be summarized by pic related. Being special snowflakes with inch-deep personalities is about the only thing they have in common, though it can be argued that Chirico does actually have more personality than he lets on most of the time because he's a stone cold killer whose just conditioned to be like that. Neither of them are particularly interesting, but at least Chirico does awesome things and isn't an irritating faggot like Mamoru.
