It's the inevitable result of having a mostly monogender cast.

Balance things out more and the fujos and yurifags disappear and/or are made irrelevant, even if there are actual gay people in the cast.

A show like Macross Frontier is a good example. A guy like Alto would normally be prime fujo bait, but since there are a number of women in the cast that Alto is able to show interest in repeatedly (and even more for his fellow male characters), the fujos have no ammo despite the presence of Bobby. He's too ugly and too far in the background for them. Yurifags do probably have a little more to work with, but they don't tend to draw as much obnoxious fan art, and if they're going to watch a show with a male protagonist, they're not gonna do it for the shipping bait

How about something with a decent number of hetero relationships, and not a trace of yuri-bait, like you'll get with Kira and Arthrun? Not a huge number of hetero relationships, just some, so that the hetero-to-homo ratio is 1:0.

By that logic, the most hetero mecha anime might be Voices from a Distant Star, but that's too short.

The ideal would be a show where there are lots of male-female pairs, and none of the male characters ever meet each other, and same with the girls.
