No, because an AU would be hard to do. Gundam just doesn't do OVAs of an AU without it first having a tv show. The only exception being Gunpla Builders Beginning G, but "modern day japan with gunpla that can fight." is the entirety of explaining the setting.

So, I don't get why shows never invest in tile-sets for their characters. Like, drawing a series of quality heads that you can paste onto a body and shrink wouldn't take that much time and the shows would've look like piss above 720p. I mean, the background image is fine and every character is wearing the same fucking clothes, so they didn't they just draw it nice once, color it differently a few times, and then size it based on perspective? It's not like this isn't computer animation, they don't need to do cop-outs that hand-drawn anime requires.

I don't know if you're joking or you're actually a butthurt IBO fan, but there is absolutely no way you can compare that screenshot with the shit from IBO posted ITT.
There's a big difference between distant background characters done right, and background characters, no matter the distance, being done fucking wrong. IBO is an example of almost everything being done fucking wrong though. There were so many occasions in IBO where the incredibly shitty direction was to blame for the QUALITY, given that shots like this >>14613457 could have been avoided by just setting the shot up differently. The issue with IBO's quality is that it just could have easily been avoided with better direction.
