Heya folks,
I've downloaded the FLAC raws for GaoGaiGar and am in the process of re-encoding them to a more manageable filesize, but I'd love to have these episodes subtitled.
Thus far the only softsubs I've been able to find are from Grey Phantom, but the timing is just...off on them. I've tried both simple offsets and linear correction but neither option has gotten the subs to line up perfectly well with the spoken dialogue.
Do softsub SRTs exist for AiA's release of GGG, or is my only option to tweak things manually? If I can get things working right, I'd love to share my efforts with the community.

Have you tried this thing? https://github.com/tp7/Sushi
I've managed to retime a few episodes of TV rip fansubs to bluray rips using this, and it seems to work well enough.

I have not, thank you for this link! I'll give it a go.

Hm, need a bit of help here I'm afraid. I have ffmpeg on my computer (as a command line thing or whatever) but I can't get sushi to recognize that I have it, and thus can't get it to perform any operations.
Does GGG Final have non-garbage subs?
Okay, I've got Sushi reading ffmpeg now but running the job is producing an error I don't understand. Ugh.

You might have to ask the guy who seems to be the program's creator http://tp7.github.io/ . I made it run just with the "basic usage" function.
Alright, couldn't get Sushi to behave but I managed to get pretty good results with Subtitle Workshop.

In any case, here are some retimed SRT files. These are the Grey Phantom subs, which I have not tweaked in any way other than the timing. I timed them to this release below specifically: https://www.nyaa.se/?page=view&tid=832897
I can't guarantee that they'll work for other blu ray rips but I hope some folks here enjoy this.
