Because there's no Zaku. Honestly most Gundam fans shun anything that isn't UC. Also its kind of old so kids aren't exposed to it now.

That being said, Wing stuff sells pretty well in Japan, considering its age and that its not AC. Probably better than any other non-UC from 90s/early 2000s.

Frankly though a brand new HG Leo or something would sell less than a piss yellow Zaku re-paint with no new weapons or anything.

Honestly the After-Colony Timeline is due for a remake.

There's plenty in the "Gundam Wing" saga that could be improved upon. For one thing, the entire story liked to stretch itself pretty thin resulting in quite a number of "introduced then dropped" characters.
