Chamber.

Not only can he fly and he is durable as hell, but his arsenal is specifically designed for a war of eradication against organic alien battleships.

Titan regeneration is impressive, but that only works if there is something left to regenerate. Against smaller organic targets, Chamber can vaporize dozens of human beings in an instant. It might take concentrated fire to burn down a larger titan, but it should be well within his abilities to cut them apart beyond their ability to regenerate.

Even if he still can only kill them by hitting the back of the neck, thats not exactly difficult for him given aimbot precision. In fact, its probably still the most efficient strategy for mass kills for him, even if he technically could kill them with raw power.

It also helps that, for all intents and purposes, Chamber won't run out of power. As long as he can fall back to bide time for his antimatter breeder reactor to create new fuel, he can function theoretically forever without having to worry about ammo. I just need to make sure he doesn't burn through all of his fuel reserves at once and brick himself.

Nah, Titan flesh disintegrates pretty quickly once it's not part of a living Titan. You'd get maybe a day at most to eat it all, it's not practical.

Well, flight capability would be nice. Titans have no ranged attacks other than throwing chunks of debris, so it's not too hard to outrange them. Energy weapons would also be nice, if you've got a good reactor you can just keep blasting them all day. And while you technically have to kill the pilot to kill a Titan, dealing enough damage to their body will effectively do the job. So either a wide-bore beam to disintegrate them or a precise weapon for sniping the pilot. All together, I think something from SEED would actually be best. Strike Freedom's got flight, energy weapons, aimbot skills, unlimited power supply, and as a bonus phase shift armor to make sure that the purely kinetic attacks of Titans can't do any real damage.

Something like a Gouf is possibly the worst choice for this scenario. Too melee focused, and without the sheer raw power to back that up.

Don't get me wrong, a Gouf could kill some titans good. The problem is that there are a lot of titans out there, and sometimes they travel in groups. And as a melee focused mech, the Gouf is fored to close into ranges where Titans can hit back.

Think of it like a dude wearing full plate armed with an axe fighting against naked stupid people. The armored dude clearly has an advantage, but if outnumbered its not hard to imagine him getting overwhelmed and brought down anyway. This goes doubly true the first time he runs into one of those special titans, like the behemoth or the armored titan, which have abilities and strength he won't be expecting and probably won't see coming until it is too late.

Something like the Cherno Alpha, despite being melee focused, would work better simply because its size and powers is so much greater than the average titans than its an easy victory every time. The Gouf makes for more interesting fights, but that's because its feasible that the Gouf can lose. Which makes for better action, but a worse choice of mech.

Yes, but the main end-game Gundams are the exceptions. Freedom, Justice, Providence, Legend, Destiny, S. Freedom, and I. Justice.

They've got a nuclear reactor that can effectively power the suit ad infinitum.

Its an unusual taste.

Chamber is a robot, but if you go into Gargantia wanting Gundam or anything like it you are going to be disappointed. After landing on Earth, there really isn't anything that Chamber can't kill. Usually embarrassingly easily.

They slap you upside the head with just how wide the gulf in powerlevels is a lot in the first three episodes specifically so you will stop asking for more mecha fights. There is nothing that is going to approach a satisfying military challenge for Chamber outside of the spacewar for which he was made, and he can't get back there. Which is why, with rare exceptions, the rest of the show is a lot more personal and follows Ledo's growth as an individual, with Chamber serving more as his robot dad than as his killing machine.

Its well written for what it is, its just not what a lot of people wanted out of the show.

He's kinda right, SnK has more in common with a mecha show than some regular shounen. Titan shifters are regarded as giant siege machines and the military/strategy around them is still relevant.

Also titan abilities are assigned with syringes and not because you train your inner power or whatever. Titans themselves have specifications for different uses, like when Rod Reiss pointed it out.

There's also a lot of inner politics going on instead of just power-tiers wanking. The author himself freely admitted that he was inspired by mecha shows such as Muv Luv. They even had a collab art together. Pics related
