This album, along with Dancing Xabungle, are albums that definitely needed an upgrade (especially with the improvement of my vinyl-editing skills). Changes in v2 are the same as Dancing Xabungle, which include:

>vinyl ground volume being reduced
>60 Hz hum noise being removed

I didn't include pics of the inside gatefold since they're just frames from Xabungle Graffiti but I'll probably consider doing it in the future.

Ripped by "last_error" from the FFShrine forums.

This is the OST to the Le-Deus OVA from the 1980s. It isn't that hard to find but copies are kinda pricey for the CD version...I had plans to buy the LP version myself but I've changed my mind and decided not to since an FFShrine user has uploaded the OST already.

The LP rip is in pretty good quality but the uploader has sent me the raw recording data of the album for me to improve on. I will post the improved version when it's done.

Not sure if this is the best thing to offer since it's not really /m/ related (it is sorta, but eh), but I have some drama CD's from Key the Metal Idol that I got off Baidu. Problem is the cue sheets seem to be fucked up and all of the Japanese text is garbled. I've had this issue with a lot of music I got off Baidu and I'm not sure if it's an error I made or just how they were made. How can I fix it?

I think the cue sheet issue can be fixed by changing the text encoding language. I had a similar issue once and I fixed it by changing the language to something long with "Chinese" in it

I think it might be "GB2312 (simplified Chinese)" but I'm not too sure.

Based off the first book in a series of SF novels by Keisuke Fujikawa. There's a sequel to this album that's also part of the Roman Trip series but it's incredibly hard to find...there's a copy of it on DiscLegend right now for $30 but luckily the seller misspelled the name. Because of that, nobody will notice the album listing for a while and that'll give me more than enough time to save up money for it

Unfortunately I have quit attempting to clean the current LP rip of Le-Deus. The quality isn't bad but it's not good enough for me to be able to clean it to the fullest...I'm probably better off buying my own copy of the album at this point

Unfortunately this OST suffers the same fate as the Srungle OST in the sense that there's barely any BGM tracks (most of the BGM tracks in this album are from the first episode). There's a second OST included but I have no idea what the music is based off of (if I had to guess I would say they're the main themes of the fighters in the show or something)

I don't know if anybody remembers this but there was a Roman Trip LP album that I mentioned here on the last thread that was performed by the same people that did Jam Trip Macross. The album is based off a series of old 1940s American detective stories starring some character named Phillip Marlowe (I had some samples of the album on my old YT channel before it got deleted)

Well I glad to announce that I just won a copy of the album on Yahoo Auctions JP. At the moment I'm currently trying to bid on another rare anime OST by Nozomi Aoki but if I end up losing that one I'll just buy the LP OST to the OVA "Cool Cool Bye"

Has anybody listened to the 3rd Disc that's included in the "Macross The Complete" OST? The one that contains the unreleased BGM and stuff.

There's a track I'm listening to (M-41A), and I don't know if it's just me, but near the end it sounds like the music skipped or something...I want to know if that's how it actually sounds or if it was an error with the CD-rip.

As a bump, baidu has decided it wants it's speeds to be completely dogshit today.

Nope. Yesterday it was upwards of 2 mbs and the highest it's gone today is 50kbs, but just for a couple of seconds though, then it dropped.

But speaking on the records, that's some awesome stuff.

Listening to Galvion BGM Collection 1 & 2 in actual high quality was so refreshing..."ALONE" is such a good song

As for the Old Anime SFX...there are several good SFX sounds that can be used for video editing and stuff but unfortunately a good number of them also have other distracting SFX in the background. I'll let you guys listen to it and decide for yourselves if it's good or not when I get to ripping it

The Tobikage OST isn't bad but it's ridiculous to see how Pony Canyon (company that published the OST) had the nerve to publish only one soundtrack for a show that's 43 episodes long. They've done the same thing with other shows (giving shows one soundtrack release when it deserves more) and it's retarded...At this point it seems like the only way we'll ever get ahold of the unreleased BGM is if some indie company offers to remaster the OST themselves and get ahold of the master tapes.

And Pony Canyon does it again with Kojika Monogatari...

Kojika Monogatari was an old anime adaption of the "The Yearling" done by the same companies that worked on Lensman (Madhouse and JCGL). The music was done by the one and only Koichi Sugiyama, but only one BGM Collection album was released for the show, and like the Tobikage OST, it barely contains all the music from the show...

There's another album released for the show (which arrived yesterday at my house with the other LPs) that contains all the vocal songs used in the show, plus two BGM tracks not featured in the previous album. The songs aren't bad but there's so much empty recording space near the end of Side A and B...it kinda bothers me because there's so many other unreleased BGM tracks that definitely could've been put in this album...

I mentioned previously that the only way an old show's unreleased BGM tracks could possibly ever get released is if some other company offered to remaster the OST, but that probably won't be possible for this show for a long time die to copyright issues...

I used to buy from eBay (still do sometimes), but I mainly buy from Yahoo Auctions JP since that's where the majority of rare OSTs (and my albums) come from. They have albums for sale on there that I probably wouldn't have found on eBay or Discogs

And while I'm at it...I don't think I ever mentioned the name of the rare Nozomi Aoki OST that I won in an auction a while ago, so if any of you are curious to what it is, it's the OST of Unico in the Island of Magic

The music in the movie is nicely composed, and I just had to get myself a copy of the OST when I saw it on sale online.

Regardless of its quality, I got a friend who would appreciate this, since he loves old anime SFX.

I don't know if this has been said already but I got ahold of some LP raw recordings of Legaciam from another FFShrine user.

I'm not sure when I'll be able to finish editing them but I'll upload it whenever I get to it.
