Aoi got to display her emotional range this week in Qualidea Code. I wouldn't call it her best performance but she got to do a little bit of everything so it was entertaining.
It seems Aoi is rather fond of Maihime as well. She wrote something about how she shouldn't give any of "her children" (the characters she voices) preferential treatment but it's hard to not do so with her. Personally, I just think the role is a perfect fit for Aoi.

Shame about the rest of the show though. It's not offensively bad but the mediocre animation and directing really hold it back.

Oh, and this is completely unrelated but a few months ago during the Kyoto FC event, one of the questions asked to the asked to the audience was which of Aoi's characters were their favorite. Majority of the replies were either Hibiki or Okita (FGO).
