You're wrong. It being an adaptation is irrelevant if that was the case it ouldn't have taken so long to get production rolling when the novels ended 8 years ago. If any case none of the TV anime have been 1:1 adaptations of the source of material since Gatoh was involved in the writing and changed a lot of shit (TSR) so he's definitely going to rewrite a lot of the shit for the new TV series given how much of a mess the novels become later.

Redline was made using modern techniques dumbass. In the behind the scenes featurette they used Maya and CG. Not sure how that is an exception other then you not wanting to admit you were wrong.
