So I got 4 more stages before the end of the game.

Joe's missing from the deploy list so I assume it's time for Tobikage (for those counting at home, this is stage 26, or more accurately, 88, so yeah, enjoy the way for Tobikage if you're gonna play this (don't play this)).

I'm gonna leave this and the endgame for later, possibly tomorrow. I've been feeling weird all day (almost passed out twice while doing the groceries and have been generally tired all around), so I'm just gonna browse a couple of boards for a few minutes and lie down in bed.

It was confirmed as of the demo for the final game the Shirou/vision thing is a Sanbondo Original Touhou.

Not to the level of drama that Sanbondo play it but yes in the old PC-98 games Marisa's background was indeed as Mima's apprentice before she became a playable character waaay back but it's not mentioned that much.

Mima herself eventually became a playable character as well, then suddenly disappeared off the face of the Earth.

Yuuka and Mima are pretty much the big lynchpins of the PC-98 gang but Yuuka was the only one to make the jump over to the new canon. Most of the others get some kind of acknowledgement in many ways but Mima is the one character who just gets ignored. It's basically become a meme these days everytime something new comes out that there are people screaming 'Mima when?'.

He has four attacks and a combo. He's more notable in that he gets a lot of power for nothing (3700 max on his 1-2 solo finisher for 0 EN cost, and 3 weaker attacks with ammo and better range), and his combo is a 2-4 (NON P WHICH SUCKS DICKS) that maxes at 4800.

If it weren't for one tiny little problem he'd be great. But due to the complete fucking lack of Soul on a lategame unit, he's not. So screw him. I'm not adding a unit onto my final team that comes bullshit late and only has 1.5x damage mod at best.

The reason the HP bloat exists in the first place was probably because MX was so easy in the first place with how few enemy units there are (which ends up compounding the HP bloat problem because you'll have less Will to fuck bloated bosses up with) and how strong a lot of your units are like RahXephon, Vikungfu, and a full power God Gundam given to you relatively extremely early.

It's arguable in the case of attacks that are partly in one language and partly in the one you are trying to translate into, especially if they're something like Dankuukougaken and their translation is fucking massive. And it is in some ways a matter of taste - do you prefer "Kaen Ken Juumonji Giri", or "Flame Sword Cross Slash"?

Personally, I am of the opinion that it should be translated in text... UNLESS the object in question is an actual object. Like, the Dorinken from Might Gaine is an actual fucking sword, so it gets to keep its name the same way any robot does instead of being the "Movable Wheel Sword" or whatever it translates to. But the attack around that would change, so Dorinken: Ichimonji Giri becomes Dorinken: Single Slash or whatever it's most properly translated as.
