/m/ shows that made you cry
>>
I've literally never cried to any anime do people really do that? Like do ya'll niggas actually self insert that hard?
>>
whats the /m/ equivalent of pic related
>>
>>14551737
You don't need to self-insert to have emotions invoked in you.

I cried a little at the end of Gunbuster.

Did you cry at the end of Dragon Ball Z, too?

>>14551737
It depends if the writing is good enough to make you actually feel emotionally involved with what's going on. Very few anime give me that, but Saikano is an emotional roller coaster that tears out your heart. Give it a shot, and then come back.
>>
I don't remember if I actually cried, but Episode 1o of RahXephon did leave and impression, that become freasher each time I'm reminded of it.

Its been years since I've actually seen then show, but I can still recall all the set-up and the cute little husband/wife-like dynamics they had before the infamous scene. I really didn't see it coming at that age, and the gruesome nature of the scene was only a spice compared to Ayato's resolve that he was doing the right thing. It really was a nasty scene, and hearing that SRW MX made the player carry out the scene themselves actually served to salt the wounds, so to say.

I forget. My memory is actually terrible and I've probably cried a handful of times over the years but I can't remember to what, or when. Manga tends to get me more emotional in general but I've only cried a couple times over that, too. And all of that is really counting tears. If you mean full-on crying I think it only happened when I was reading Rainbow, when they finished the arc with that dude who was one of their fathers' war buddies. Otherwise I don't think I have.

bassically,
outnumbered and outgunned, the MC survives a awful and terrible pyrrhic victory that lasted almost a full day on non-stop bloody combat.
to help recover he and the rest of his squad are forced into a sleeping state by doctors with the help of hypnosis
He dreams of all his dead comrades, giving him advice and generally helping him feel better about the current state of affair before heading off into the white light
What he doesn't know is everyone else is dreaming of the same thing, heavily implying that the doctors implanted these thoughts into the soldiers heads, instead of some altruistic world where the dead help the living go on with life

She was my waifu man.

Her voice. Her personality. Her piloting skill.

AND THAT FUCKING FAGGOT KAZUKI NEVER UNDERSTOOD HER FEELINGS, JUST LIKE HE'S ABUSING MAYA'S FEELINGS.

The one bad thing about Exodus was that it made me REALLY dislike Kazuki a lot less. He's the lamest pilot now. He doesn't duel wield. He's supposed to be some wordly peace maker but he can't even understand the feelings of people around him

I just wanted someone to slap him across his smug face.

That's a sad way of saying I just don't like something. What you gonna say next, forced animation?

Besides, the show emotionally builds up to things like that and it is foreshadowed because the world slowly ends as the story goes on.

No Saikano is fucking terrible once worse is that its drama isn't particularly engaging since its so predictable and heavy handed that you have to be an underaged retard to think its emotionally fulfilling

i actually like drama when it's well done. none of the character in this were developed properly for me to give a shit about. they were all just hastily introduced just to be killed in a weak attempt to make the audience feel something. i actually thought maybe it's because the anime was rushed or something so i went and checked out the original material. nope, it's the exact same lazily written emo wankery shit. then i went on to look at other works by the author. as it turned out, this kind of lazy emo shit is all he does.

the man is a hack through and through. if you want depressing show to watch, there are plenty of other shows that were done 100x better.

>emotionally builds up to things
lulz, no.

>>14555117
There is build up. That's why that scene is so emotionally compelling. You become invested in the characters and get to know them, and why they do what they do. Heck, the entire drama and story surrounds the characters as they are the focus of the story. They're developed, but you have to pay attention. If you didn't like it, that's probably because you never even understood it in the first place.
>>
>>14555243
>If you didn't like it, that's probably because you never even understood it in the first place.

or the more likely, it simply utterly sucked at it compared to all the other emo drama shows. i'm not a robot, i can be emotionally moved by sad stories, yet this shit did NOTHING for me.

>>
>>14555296
i've already said everything i had to. the characters were utterly forgettable to the point that i really don't give a shit what happens to them. forced drama (i actually thought this was some buzzword like "pretentious" until i saw saikano and went "ohhh so that's what they're talking about"). and just boring through and through.

sorry, i think you're just way too easily impressed.
