Actually, the management of AKB48 mentioned that they know they are breaking the rules but don't say anything unless the magazines caught them and that there's nothing like "you can't have relationships" in the contract, so it is more like a social/fandom situation. If they don't care, nothing happens, if the idols thinks they will care, he/she probably carries some punishment to show that she "regrets" about what she did. Pure marketing.

Is Crimson Moon so bad it makes YamiTera look good? YamiTera was okay, I did like the attempt of Garo trying to drop it's episodic formula and aim for a more overarching storyline. But the characters were pretty one dimensional and Ryuga was a cunt until he got blind. Plus the action scenes were not as good as Red Requiem's or Makai Senki. Also how the hell did Garo get blackened?

Color of the armor are determined by the spirit of the owner. They are black in basic color since they are made with horror parts in hot magma.

What I get from this is that the previous Garo was fighting an enemy so powerful that just using the power of feelings to power himself up wasn't enough to defeat it, so he had to directly throw all the feelings stored in the armor to the enemy in order to win. Like a bomb or something.

Well, there's something mysterious about that. Leaving the armor's origin out, it's also weird how it could be actually passed on. The owner of the armor not only gets younger and loses his memories every time he summons it, he can't age. If Tokiwaka received the armor from his master, it would mean that his master reached a certain age, got the armor, and then just used it a couple of times before passing it down. In order to keep passing on the armor for various generations, it would require that the owner trains his apprentice until the latter is considerably older than him. Tokiwaka implied that if he became a kid, he wouldn't be able to summon his armor anymore. As Kintoki, he apparently isn't even aware that he has an armor. So he shouldn't be able to pass it on to anyone. I'd say it's possible that someone could pick it up once Kintoki dies.

When Alfonso received the armour, Leon certainly didn't approve it. And we have had a couple of situations in which the wielder is not around to decide (Taiga to Kouga, Douji to Rei, Raikou).

Yes, if the armour accepts the wielder, he has to pass down the line like Kouga did with Raiga, but it is the armour who has the last word on it.

If you don't care about the figures being from the exact same line, you could just go with Equip & Prop Kiba, which is pretty cheap at Mandarake. I own Makai Kado Kiba and I think it's the one with the worst articulation anyway, so you'd be getting practically the same figure and Barago's pendant, plus Barago's head and limbs hanging around. I actually am planning to buy E&P Kiba in the future too since one of my MK's hands broke while I was trying to put Kiba's Zanbaken on it. Seriously, that was the worst design consideration in the line. The handle is so thick and you have to force it through the fingers. I should have modified it to be detachable like it is in newer releases.

I remember downloading Aquarion Logos HS because there was no other choices, the 1080 and 720p of their encode looked like a blurred upscale of 480p.

Compared to say, Kamen Rider where you can generally expect a kid-oriented gimmicky figure, super articulated Figuarts and stylized S.I.C and some number of alternate forms in all those formats.

Basically, GARO is nowhere near as big as other tokusatsu franchises, which leads to its market being smaller, so for Bandai, the best way of producing the figures is by reserved preorders through their Tamashii Web Shop. This in turn leads to the prices skyrocketing afterwards.

Now that you're talking about merchan, I have a question for tokuwise people.

I've always heard that powers ups in in most market oriented tokusatsu (supersentai, Kamen Rider...) was done to have more designs to make toys. They even joke about that in Akibaranger.

But in Garo we also have a lot of power ups, yet most of them don't even have a figure. So why would they do them? Has it become a staple in the genre?

I like my power ups as much as the next guy, but it is getting old sometimes for how deus ex machina they are, and it looks like they don't even have a commercial reason for them.
