No sane mobile suit designer would design something with engravings.

No sane Variable Fighter designer would design something with breasts.

The breasts give it no tactical advantage what-so-ever.

That's debatable.

For all we know, the base machine might not have those engravings, possibly added by the zeeks themselves on their own.

Decorative shit on weapons aren't that new.

why does this trigger your autism so much?
>f-fucking nazi suits guys
>>
>>14541295
The engineers who designed the mobile suits didn't ;put the engravings there. Pretty much all of the Sleeves' mobile suits are preexisting designs that they added their designs to.
>>
>>14541326

That's an entirely worthless point, since you could say the same of every design or design element. Including giant robots themselves. Which also serve no tactical advantage either for that matter.

It's a completely retarded on tactical level to paint a mobile suit in clown colors, but that never stops the feds.

Giant humanoid combat robots are entirely rule of cool. Engravings don't mean a thing.

Those are typically hand waived as "Parade" or "Test" colors. Something that would make it easily seen for an impressive demonstration. Makes sense for the prototypes like the RX-78 or GP series, but they can't quite get away with that for the ground types or MkIIs
>>
>>14543761
By that point the color scheme had become part of the gundam symbol, so they kept it.
>>
>>14543761
The Mk II doesn't have clown colors at all. It's predominantly gray and a deep navy blue. Not to mention it's literally a testbed not even meant for real combat.

The Ground Types were made from left over RX-78 parts and besides some red they're again, mostly gray and dark blue.
>>
>>14543761
The Ground type colors are arguably more just squadron livery at that scale.
>>
>>14543847
>It's predominantly gray and a deep navy blue
Titans colors yeah, but the AEUG repainted it to parade colors for some reason
>Not to mention it's literally a testbed not even meant for real combat.
Were they? It's been a while but I though they were combat ready

>>14543847
>The Ground Types were made from left over RX-78 parts
That's no excuse not to repaint them when you send them to the field.

There would no MS in the first place, if you think in practical terms.
The markings and aesthetic serve to inspire morale in zeonic remnants.
>>
>>14544835

>There would no MS in the first place, if you think in practical terms.

If you talk in universe, many will have words with you.....

If you talk in real life, eh so-so, we don't have the tech yet so talking about practicality from theorem prespective are pointless. Its like, talking about practicality of jetplanes in 30s or tanks in 10s.

Real life are never "realistic" to begin with either, so maybe things like Jehuty will be called "realistical" by future standart....
>>
>>14545641
>Its like, talking about practicality of jetplanes in 30s or tanks in 10s.
Are you retarded m8? Mecha will never be efficient and reasonable under Earth's gravity, even when they do eventually become possible, barring antigravity that would still make other designs a better choice.
>>
>>14545641

> If you talk in universe, many will have words with you.....

The only reason vehicles like Balls, Gaws or Core Fighters aren't superior to mobile suits is author fiat so that they can push mobile suit toy and model sales. Realistically, even with Minovsky Particles. AMBAC and so on they'd make a joke of mobile suits.
>>
>>14545641
................fuck off.............
>>
>>14545654

>Mecha will never be efficient and reasonable under Earth's gravity, even when they do eventually become possible

When thing like airplanes, jetcoasters, and billion of superstructure exist today, not even talking dinosaurs of past? Don't give me a joke...

1000 years ago, "sane" man like you think flying is fucking ridiculous. We can't fight gravity they said...., we don't have wings they said...., its expensive they said.

100 years ago, they said tanks is fucking stupid, "why the hell i must waste tax money to a glorified metal box that clunky as hell and kill more of its own crewmates than to more artilleries and soldiers, its not make sense!!"

Then the unrealistic "lunatics" still steadfastly goes on.....

And look where we are today

>antigravity that would still make other designs a better choice.

You know what, there is reason Human and even animals, thats is limbed, called perfection of mechanical design. Our body designed to able shift the centre of gravity by working our limbs, so we move more efficiently than limited design like cars or tanks. Thats what scientist trying to archieve.

Even with antigravity, humanoid or limbed design are more proficient, since it more energy efficient than other, "flat" design that require extra machine to handle the balance.

Navy fighter aircraft have paint schemes using gloss paint for show and air demonstrations. Sometimes military like to peacock. Sometimes we have to so we can do ceremonies. Maybe this was the case.

Which is why we now have flying main battle tanks and flying battleships.

Limbs are products of inferior biology that can't naturally grow good bearings. Wheels and treaded locomotion is faster and more efficient.

Consider how much faster a human can move on a bicycle then on foot. Or why no legged vehicle has ever gotten anywhere near the speed a shitty econobox car is capable of.
>>
>>14541295
You can put them on the shitty robots to fool the enemy into thinking that they're really expensive and important.

Lold
I take you never leave your desk mr./k/uckbeard?
You never walk, run, jump and do something heavy with your limb are you?

>Wheels and treaded locomotion is faster and more efficient.

Well that justify your condition further

I can say shooting metalbox with cannon is waaaay faster and it don't even need engine, if thats your only orientation.

Even its fast, it only able to move on one general direction and cannot turn/maneuver sharply without flipping itself over or take drastic decrease of speed.

Limb eliminate that glitch with ability to shift it center of gravity, and can efficiently take turn maneuver by moving or directed its limbs to general direction.

If you ever play rollerblades, you know how things work.

>Consider how much faster a human can move on a bicycle then on foot.

Or, if you ever ride bycycle, it still need your limb to actually do a frontal turn or do anything other than straight line.

Why do you think motoracer need to shift their body and legs when takes some hard or sharp turn?

>Or why no legged vehicle has ever gotten anywhere near the speed a shitty econobox car is capable of.

Because there's still none of said legged verhicle ever developed yet to prooved otherwise beside maybe some stationary construction labor that don't need any of said speed?

If you see some of "realistic mecha" show, mecha capable of moving at 120+ km/h, since it has higher energy output than a regular human.

The ONLY problem with this suit is that the verniers are on the thighs. It would look much better with them on the side of the calves, would almost make it look like the High-Mobility Zaku legs.

The Zaku shoulder shield also looks kinda out of place on it but that's even more minor.

only because whoever has tanks getting rekt usually doesn't have adequate aircover themselves.
people who say "tanks are useless because aircraft lol" are retarded, tanks were never meant to stand up to everything ever invented, they were designed to go fuck other tanks up, and provide fire support to infantry.
>>
>>14552179

Yeah... A Geara Doga shield would look more in place there. I never thought about that actually. It might be the thing that irks me the most.

Minovsky interference is weakest in the visual band and blurs stuff (which is why dummy balloons work so well), but it does not make the look of a mech completely immaterial.
