I think most people on /m/ would love Unicorn if they had watched RE0096 instead of the OVA. Like 99% of complaints about Unicorn stems from people misunderstanding simple concepts in the OVA or just plain missing things because it's all thrown at you at once.
The TV show gives it to you 20 mins at a time, and even retreads and repeats some of the important plot and character points in the opening narration that the typical /m/ retard glosses over.

Eh, you're not wrong, but at the same time it's the most unsubtle approach at padding I've seen in a work of fiction. Understandable since a week is enough time for people to go full retard and forget details, but I think it gets a tad over the top when binged.

Those recaps would've probably been very helpful with the OVA though, since the wait between each installment was EVEN LONGER.

At any rate I do feel that having them is actually an improvement for the reason you stated.

Yeah no. The tv version completely fucks up the flow that was made for the OVAs in the first place. And it seems they have put no effort into splicing together the end of one OVA episode and start of the next.

I haven't watched it yet, I thought watching the ova's once each was enough.

I thought they'd at least add some extra scenes during the big battles though, did that not happen? It would've been a good way to push new HGUC kits which everyone would eat up.
