Usually, when they reveal an SRW game, it's almost finished and they've got a pretty good idea of when it'll be out, OG2nd aside, while for V they made it sound like they had just finished making up the cast list and slapped together some animations at the last second for the trailer.

That, and it's really soon after Z3, isn't it? Usually, they have a bunch of buffer games between big releases to keep the brand alive to give time for them to actually make the games. Between Alpha Gaiden and Alpha 2 we had 7 games, between Alpha 2 and Alpha 3 we had like 7 games if we don't count MX as a big release, between Alpha 3 and Z we had 11 games, and so on.
I think the only games between Z3 and V have been BX and MD, right?

Like, it's not dodgy enough to avoid all damage, and it's not tanky enough to soak what damage does come through. If you put it too far forward and enough enemies target it, it will get shot down as opposed to something like the weissritter.

I know you're shitposting, but honestly I think Z3 suffers from the opposite issue. It seems like they wanted to lay seeds for the OG retelling that would get people excited, like when we saw Garberus for the first time in 2ndOG or when OGs actually let us get a glimpse at Beowulf and The Inspector showed us why he was so bad that the Shadow-Mirror were running away from him in terror. They just took it a little bit too far and saved too much of the cool stuff, which is compunded by the issues with how the Angels other than Advent are written and the weak enemy design.

For what it's worth, I genuinely don't think that they're gonna do the actual Z plot in OG.

Have the Z originals pop out of a crossgate ready to save the day, sure, but it feels like doing the actual plot would be both a massive hassle, even in a total reboot, and also kind of redundant considering just how heavy on the OG plot the Z games got towards the end, to the point of having their own little SRW Z OG Gaiden thing with Rengoku.

If I was Uncle Banpresto, what I'd do with Z in OG is that I'd use the characters and the robots and their individual plots, but not the overall dimension-fusing story.

Basically, instead of there being a big, supermassive world-fusing cataclysm, we just have Setsuko and her chums and Rand and Crowe with the Firebugs and Hibiki all traipsing around the world, along with the rest of the Sphere dudes, and do the Sphere war, or the equivalent, that way. Maybe use ACE3's plot, if we can use Another Century's Episode stuff, so we can still have Rand be from a post-apocalyptic world. Then, since The Edel and Advent both fucked off from the cycle, we have a brand new plot for them to deal with.

I disagree. I think the next game is the grand finale for the Steel Dragons, at least for a long time, and we'll see Z either mark a massive timeskip or the start of a whole new story. L and UX have storylines that fit naturally into Z1, and I can easily see using Mist as the Shinn replacement for Setsuko. Much of the Z1 story just doesn't work if you have the Hagane and Hiryu crews around who've been together for years and would never think of fighting one another, but with a fresh team who don't really know each other yet it's much easier to handle.

Well, as I said, I don't particularly enjoy that kind of city, but yes, it's full of really nice stuff and I absolutely love the Art Nouveau aesthetic sense that Vienna is so chock full of, I still fondly remember the walking around the Ring and wandering in all the little streets full of antique shops, it was pretty romantic in a way.

Yeah, London was the same, Liverpool was too chaotic and basically a giant trap for tourists, Westminster was kind of similar but not too tourist-y, I enjoyed Angel and Southwark though, really nice and comfy places, next time I go there I'm going on a pilgrimage to Brixton.

Most of the big cities here in Italy are similar, but they aren't so big, Venice for instance is relatively small.

Sure, especially since we use sheep's wool to make a traditional sardinian tissue, the orbace, which we use mainly for our traditional costumes, though in the last century orbace has been used in a wider variety of clothes.
You'd probably like to see our costumes, we have tons of different ones since every village, and I'm not kidding here, every little village had its own costumes.
We have a lot of parades every year and people dress up in traditional costumes, occasionally, we also have traditional marriages using the old costumes, but they're pretty costly due to the huge amount of work needed to make one.

Ah, I know how you feel, I'd also love to go to Iran and all those forlorn places like Samarcanda, actually, all the middle east looks very interesting to me, mostly because it's a very different culture from mine.
We did have our share of arabian culture here in Italy since centuries, but it was mostly from the mediterrenean area or the old Ottoman empire, I'd like to see what lies in the far middle east one day.

I have heard nothing but good things about visiting Iran and witnessing its nature, culture, and history.

The only thing people miss is the days of when the Shah of Iran was running things. Back then it was more of a secular government. Actually I don't think it was purely secular, just a lot more than it is today.

It's not terrible for tourists now, as I know people who go there at least once a year, but the problem is that the current Shia-managed government is very oppressive and isn't doing a very good job of maintaining things that aren't related to their sect.

Go read about the days of the Shah and then read about life under the Shia government. It'll make you cry.

Nothing personally against Shia Muslims, but the ones in charge of Iran have made a gigantic mess of a place that many people used to compare to France and Spain in terms of high sophistication.
