...for the PSVita.
Release date: 10/20/2016

West release never
>>14514875
No big deal, since the Vita is region-free.
>>14514875
But wouldn't you rather have another robotech DVD re-release with more shitty shirts and comics?
So same engine as the PSP/PS3 era ones?
Can you play as Mirage?
>>14514875
Never stopped me from playing Macross games.

Here are the guest characters that have been confirmed thus far:
>Macross: Do You Remember Love?
Hikaru Ichijyo
Linn Minmay
>Macross F
Alto Saotome
Sheryl Nome
Ranka Lee
The game’s development is currently 70% complete. The standard edition of the game features 20 tracks from the anime, while the limited edition version will feature 50 tracks.

So its a sequel to the movie hybrid disc games and not the Frontier games?
Meh.
>>14514919
Macross Delta Scramble is being developed by Artdink, who also developed Macross 30 previously
>>14514955
>Its main missions will cover up to episode 13
So they're going to release an updated version after the end of the show covering the second half.
>>14514975
It depends of the reception of this one, i guess.
>>14514877
Except it didn't have English Asian version
>>14515067
Still region free.

It's going to be the recent Macross games tier you idiot. They developed the PSP games, the movie games, and Macross 30. They know their shit.
>>14514869
>“There are some plans for Delta related videogames as well but it is still under consideration. However, this is reliant on the possibility of a Western release for the series.”
Western release possible.
>>14517513
Wouldn't Harmony Gold put a stop to that?
>>14517518
Big West might do something about it finally. In recent interviews he's made it clear he's very aware of what they're doing.
>>14517513
I love my Vita, but it's kind of strange that the release of a Macross Vita game in Japan would be reliant on the possibility of a Western release for the series, when the Vita has effectively bombed here.
Although niche games have thrived on the Vita.
>>14514869
Is it just Delta of is it like Triangle Frontier where everything is included?
This is important.
Hope we get a reliable Vita emulator someday. I played Triangle Frontier on PPSSPP more than most high-end PC games.
>>14517520
Cool. Do you know where I could find these interviews?
>>14514919
30 was pretty shit, desu
>slow as fuck.
>Grindy, but not in a fun way.
>story is retarded.
>can't customize colors like in PSP games
>YF-30 is shit. In every form outside of fighter.

aw but I won't be able to create my own character and date my waifu/husbando of choice
that was the best part of triangle frontier
First preview by famitsu with good quality screenshots: http://www.famitsu.com/news/201607/21111200.htmlWhy Vita only :(
>>14518998
That worked with Frontier because most of them still were in highschool, that wouldn't work with Delta, unless your character recently joined Chaos or something.
>>14520371
>unless your character recently joined Chaos or something
I would get trained by Mirage sempai
I'm the only one that likes the YF-30 and that makes me sad
>>14520486
I like the Chronos' fighter mode and GERWALK mode. I don't care for it's Battroid though.
I hope that one of the episodes with the guest characters boils down to:
>Alright, Delta Squadron. We're gonna go up against some SMS aces from the Frontier fleet in a mock battle.
>Wind up woefully outclassed by the YF-29
>It's a "Hayate is officially Keith's rival now" cover

Is the Vita still complete shit to switch region shops on? So even if you get physical you can forget about getting any of the DLC or patches unless you wipe your card/have 2 and factory reset between swaps?
>>14522457
Yeah, like Meser and Chuck. Do you think they have routes too?
>>14520486
I'm the only one that likes the YF-29 and that makes me sad
>>14523395
I just feel its a bit overdesigned.
>>14522457
Video games are straightforward with singer buffing pilot.
Was kinda hoping the next game would have a create you're own pilot feature since Delta introduced 3 new Protoculture races. Who wouldn't want to play as a cat guy?
>>14522798
Regon free
>>14514902
Yes, but it's autopilot and you only have a button to scream "DELTA 5!"
>>14523863
i just noticed his helmet is modified for his ears
>>14522421
No basara whats the point.
>>14524048
it's not modified, that's the way all cat people helmets are
might as well be saying that all human helmets are modified to accomodate human ears
>>14520934
seems like this is some special attack since the UI has those weird rainbow bars appearing only here.
Maybe Hayte will be doing some type of dancing melee attack?
>>14528974
You really think they would announce all the guest characters with the very first piece of information for the game?
If you check the artwork that will most likely be the game's cover you can see Basara's VF-19 Kai there, along with the valks of other protagonists (except Shin's VF-0, so maybe no Macross Zero missions for this one)
>Macross plus movie
Pretty gorgeous
>>14528974
Basara thinking about Sivil
Is this the main thread?
>Main vocal exchange!? Kumokumo in a piiinch!
>As windermeres song of the wind is growing stronger, at the same time there seems to be a change to Mikumo. The power of song is growing weaker!? [Maybe, the grammar throws me off in that sentence]
>At this rate her role might reverse with Freyja in Walkure. What is happening to Mikumo? Floating naked in the water, that mystery will also become clear....!?
>>14528974
The Fire Valkyrie is on the poster. Look harder.
>fire valk
how does it even fight in these games
>>14532150
You tag enemies with your gunpod which deals zero damage on it's own, then you play a song that will drain the enemy's health the closer you are to them. He's usually pretty OP.
Lots of Makina fanservice in the latest episode.

>>14514961
So basically you don't know anything about Macross games and that the previous 6 (including movie hybrid discs) were made by Artdink, right?
>>14523395
What are you talking about? The YF-29 is my favorite valk.
>>14533708
You will pay for your ignorance.
Qassim will defect?
I hope it's like the PSP games, 30 looked great but didn't play so good.
>>14534937
The manual aiming with the gunpod was great. I thought it played better than the PSP games.
>>14534954
the whole open world RPG is something I don't think matches well with Macross. the PSP games with the mission simulator style felt much like I had more freedom with what I wanted to do and was more fun.
>>14523949
Yes it is technically region free. But you have to format your Vita to change regions if you want to use the shop to get patches/DLC/etc
>>14535029
You can get patches on any region. You do need desperate sticks for the other region PSN's though.

>>14537207
How shit is the I.A in this game?
>>14515084
>>14515861
Not him, but back when I couldn't read a word of Japanese, I could never play untranslated games. It always felt like I was playing a demo with half of the content cut out.
Even in the case of simple games where there aren't any walls of text and you don't need to be able to read anything in order to understand any aspect of the game's mechanics, the bits of dialogue that I couldn't read killed the atmosphere. The only exceptions that I can think of had basically no dialogue at all.
So I can't really say that I blame him. Especially since a large part of his reason for wanting the game is likely because he enjoys the show, and wants to relax and see more of the characters, setting, and story.
