All of those pages ever posted on anime characters or more importantly the gundam pictures come from magazines and special edition art books that discuss certain series of gundam and other anime series. In Japan to this day these kinds of books are still released, but Gundam is notorious for releasing these kinds of magazine books in Japan frequently. Many of them are "Special edition" and released in small amounts.

That means there are potentially hundreds of books and thousands of pages. I don't know anything about the book it came from, so I have no source. Sorry, can't really help there.

I mean, we do get databook and magazine scans from time to time from various sources, but there's not really a way of keeping track of it

Yeah. These types of books became popular in the 80's. I wouldn't be surprised if Gundam actually started the market for these books. Ive seen a ton of them for numerous types of anime.

If you want I can take some photos of a local shop that sells them. There are some Gundam ones there too. But these things are pricey. Maybe $35 - $45 or more imported.

Seeing all this it makes me think how much the Guntank would be improved capabilities-wise if you just replaced the gun arms with standard MS manipulators like the Guncannon.

It would give it the ability to use standard MS weapons including the mighty beam rifle, which seems like a serious upgrade in firepower over the popguns. and would notably improve its viability in close combat situations along with the ability to use other hand weapons during an extended combat deployment alongside other MS as the situation warrants being a boon as well.

Bob missile is a very important and unique point defense weapon that wouldn't have worked well with normal hands. Maybe it would work if you made the lower arm replaceable.

I wouldn't mind seeing another tank mobile suit amongst the heroes that people think is just a pile of junk and guns but with a twist like it has a minovsky-style flight system.

So picture it dashing along on its treads at high speed laying down fire but then OH NO, the cocky underhanded lesser antagonist has set a ploy and the suit gets bogged down in a bigass pit-trap.

So said antagonist is talking mad shit at the stricken tank suit as he moves his ms in to disable/destroy it but then suddenly ZOOM it boosts out of the hazerdous terrain into the air and shocks the baddie when its soul is no longer held down by gravity. While floating high in the sky it rotates the upper body to face the dastardly villain for a dramatic outro, now the true fight begins!
