I love the mecha design. Especially their faces. Them being 2D is the best thing though.

I kinda don't like the character design. All this moe clashes too heavily with mecha. Can't really put my finger where I've seen this style before. The SoL was also a chore to endure.

Finally watched the second episode, why is the sound direction so shit? Even ignoring the shitty sound effects, the usage of the ost is also horrible. The fight music in the beginning so subdued, it actually makes it hard to get excited for the fight. There was a bit more exciting music used later in the fight, but it only lasted a minute or two.

I don't know why people shit on Cross Ange so hard. It was trash, but 99.9% of mecha anime is trash to some extent, and people looking for serious depth in mecha anime are full of shit. And Cross Ange didn't even take itself seriously, so why would anyone watching it?

The only real total garbage show out of that trinity is A/Z. A show that took itself seriously but was absolutely retarded at the same time, and also incredibly boring, with an ending that basically ensured no one would be happy.
