The Full Armor Gundam from Thunderbolt is fairly unique in that there's nothing else in the Federation arsenal that's similar. The only other full armor or heavy type Gundams are from the main UC timeline, and are built quite differently. Most of the full armor types are usually either slower or sometimes have mobility equal to the base machine.

If you're only wondering about the Thunderbolt story's Full Armor Gundam, that is actually fairly agile due to all the extra thrusters placed all over the machine. It has to be agile to operate in the Thunderbolt sector, anyway. Due to the lack of specs, we have no idea whether the base machine is faster or more maneuverable than the full loadout including the backpack, though, because the backpack also comes with a shitton of thrusters and propellant tanks.

I don't remember the scene in question, Thunderbolt is really unmemorable after all, but it was probably stuck in the enemy mobile suit. Beam sabres are not light sabres and they're usually treated as solid blades by scriptwriters and storyboarders. You stick a sword in someone and it sort of gets stuck, you need a bit of force to just slice off in another direction without first removing it, you can't just casually move your arm about like with a Star Wars lightsabre.
