It's very good at putting Tenia back in Granteed when it wants to make Touya an event deploy, but I haven't tried to use Katia for the stage 37 event that Tenia was put back in Granteed for.

I'm always unsure which to pick in Z because while I love bro-ing it up with Rand I also enjoy Setsuko's route a lot. I can't really think of another SRW title where I have that problem, usually I'm pretty sure where I'm going.

Man fuck those "Kill 80% far away enemies in two turns" SR points. They really require the best possible move, which leaves little room to fun as you have to use optimal characters for that. I don't know how people even get to have fun with Granteed when it's slow as fuck and need high Morale for close range attacks. Bellzelute seems like a more useful unit at this point. I'm sure that Granteed can probably outpower it for boss rush, but Calvina gets dem SR points for me.

But other than those "2 turns SR points" the game's fun. Other stages are much more down to Earth and allow for a bit variety, though a lot of them still prefer Accel units with high movement (like stage where you need to chase that ship).

On one hand, the Hucky is useful from the get go and the upgrade's end-game worthy. On the other hand, Winkysoft Gundam early-game.

No, I just have 15 deployment slots for the final stage and anyone who wasn't making it to the final stage or was part of requirements for a mech that was making it to endgame (Vayeate) got the bench on my last run.
I took Earth route first run so Gamlin didn't even get a chance to get the Thunderbolt and on my second (this) run he was already a whole bunch of BP behind so I kept him benched.

Besides it's not like his SP list, skills or mechs that aren't the Thunderbolt are particularly outstanding.

OGs/Gaiden system: every unit needs 110 Morale to pair up, each unit has an attribute (Star, Sword, Gun, Shield, Psychic, Visor) and paired to an unit from the same attribute gives to the twin unit a bonus such as +1 Mov, a sub unit attacking a main enemy does less damage than the main unit and vice versa, and the sub unit gains less EXP than the main one.
2nd OG: they removed the attribute bonus and the moral requirement.
Z3: only a specific attack can be used from the sub unit, unless you use the MAXIMUM Break who allows you to use any attack at all from both. Both gains the same amount of EXP.

Varies in each game. 2ndOG and OGMD useone designed for maximum flexibility: you set up twins in the deployment menu. Twins can freely split and combine with new partners mid-battle. When attacking, both partners can attack with whatever weapons they choose as long as either both of them attack with an ALL or neither attacks with an ALL. Main units get a penalty to damage against sub units, sub units get a damage penalty against main units, unless you get the skill to fix this. Sub unit receives the same EXP but less PP unless they have the Learning skill.
