In fairness, the New Age games did most of the damage.

Ghost seems really confused about its own power levels. They had Necrom prove he wasnt useless after getting BTFO by the Ganmaisers by beating Javert (which he was probably already stronger than, judging by the fact Necrom is stronger than Boost and Boost beat Javert). Then they had Takeru prove the Heroic icons werent useless anymore after they were BTFO by the Ganmaisers by having them beat Gyro (who Adel didnt think was strong enough to beat Mugen)

Infinite potential is different from infinite power. Potential takes time and effort to realize, and the one thing Takeru doesn't have is time.

It could turn out at the end that when he got Mugen he stopped having a timer altogether, mind you. They didn't know for sure whether or not he still did, and not being sure they decided it makes sense to act with the assumption that the timer's still runnin.

There was never anything to indicate he -couldn't- use Ryoma, Himiko, and Goemon outside of Boost. The question is why he even bothers to use Ore anymore when he can Boost all of his other forms.

Though considering he was refusing to use Mugen here just because, that might answer that one.

Takeru believes in people in general, not only in his own potential, and even the legendary heroes could grow more and become stronger too, not only Takeru.

This gives an excuse to keep the old forms relevant, rather than making Infinte the only one able to fight the current enemies.

It's much simpler than that.

Mugen is one toy, the heroes are many toys. As part of building up to Mugen they had the heroes gradually descend into uselessness, with the Ganmeizers able to outright paralyze Grateful until Takeru took a few of them out. Now that Mugen's been sold, they need to re-establish the heroes as still being worthwhile so that they're not considered old and busted while Mugen is the new hotness. This also helps prevent buyer's remorse over the Grateful Driver.

Not to mention it fits Takeru's character development, as >>14466231 noted. Ghost in general is pretty good about integrating the toy shilling with exploration of the themes the story is about.

Man i liked this episode.

Plot wise it doesn't matter much but whatever.

Alain is great when he is suffering in a funny way.

Onari and Javert scenes were great, i fear this is the last time we'll see Javert because Onari kinda gave him a meaning to life and we saw him enjoying bright lights. I hope he comes back at least once or twice more before the end.


Akari did absolutely fucking nothing but was like 4 times hotter than last episode where she was 10 times hotter than on episode 1. What the fuck happened.

What a fucking weird episode, takeru getting all emotional toward the heroes came from fucking nowhere, and all that pandering felt like foreshadowing to a final form, but he already got that, it's like they forgot to air this episode before mugen debut
The fights were pretty good tho
