The Gundam Mk was just a test suit for the movable frame concept, it wasn't really fantastic mobile suit for very long at all. Thats why the Super Gundam addon was created.

Going by CCA specs, the GM III is faster in a straight line and carries heavier rocket firepower, but the Jegan has newer avionics, is lighter, and has better maneuverability.

Unicorn has updated Jegans like the D type and A2 types which have higher thrust that allows them to be faster than the GM III, as well as a shield that carries some more rocket armament (but still nowhere near as much as the GM III).

If we're talking about F91 era Jegans, then those should be conclusively better than the GM III in all areas except armament, because the GM III was designed to have a ridiculous amount of rocket/missile ordinance.
