The Gothicmades. I hated them at first when I found out they were retcons of the vastly superior older designs, but eventually accepted them as their own thing and they aren't bad at all.

I never liked the Toei Mazinger Z design much, and after watching all 92 episodes, I still don't like it. But as a consequence, I got around to accepting that it's not the worst thing in the world even if it does look like a bootleg version of Nagai's design.

Went from hating it to, "Haha, mustache!" to liking a lot of stuff about it but thinking the mustache ruined it, to loving everything about it mustache included. Japanese need to just get over it, Turn A rules.

I had always preferred the GX, but the Double X grew on me a lot over the years.

I hated the design of this thing when back when I first saw it. Two years later when I finally decided to watch Gundam UC, this became my favourite.

The pilot probably had something to do with it, but I grew to love this monstrous capsicum for it's sheer beauty.

I never really got into FSS but I downloaded the two newest artbooks for it from Archive, and I honestly don't get what all the fuss is about. They look like typical Nagano, so why is everyone complaining?

I don't really understand what there's to hate about the Strike and the RX78-2. They're both really nice although a bit standard looking suits.

The Mk.II takes everything wrong with the original Gundam and improves it. Though the RX78-2 is still good.

The only Astray Frame that I actually like. I have no love for the Red Frame and Blue Frame.

Though the I do like the grunt Astrays, especially the DSSD.

I agree. Took me time to really appreciate the RX-72 as well. Especially after Wing's designs. Ultimately it'd be Dynasty Warriors Gundam that would help me like it more.

That said, Exia. 00's whole aesthetic, really. They were all so... thin and didn'the really look like they could take the beatings they did.

I did buy into the hatehype and the pepe memes for a while but, after seeing it in action, and getting my hands on the model kit, I really did start to love the Gusion. Admittedly, I still totally agree with the fact that it doesn't really hit into the traditional Gundam aesthetic, but the weird frog, turtle, beetle thing really does it for me.

The first time I ever saw it was in GB3 and it was so radically different from everything else I found it repulsive.
Then I watched the series and it's probably my favourite design now.
