Inaho is good at taking out single enemies. He isn't as gifted as a strategist against a traditional military force with actual numbers. Not the One Man Army that Vers was using for most of the season.

Inaho was their ace and the best way to slay their ace is to make him deal with extremely unfamiliar ground of traditional combat of numbers vs numbers

Should be enough to give the knights some extra warm bodies to soak up Inaho's bullets or to keep the other UEF soldiers busy.

The toughest parts is training the soldier caste who are more used to fighting as turret gunners and grunts on foot. But a beam weapon set is going to make whatever numbers shortage irrelevant as humanoid mecha vs mecha is a different beast.
