I don't have a preferred rescue mecha, but I did find it interesting there's at least one in the Gundam franchise.

OACS-01L/SP Urban Rescue Iguana from the Heavy Gear role playing game.
Always liked how it had a little grappling hook it could use to climb/rappel up and down buildings and other structures.
