It's atrociously boring, for the first 12 episodes at least. I've heard it gets better later on though. The plot plods along at way too slow of a pace to keep it interesting. The tone is allot like early ZZ as well.

I think L-Gaim is just fine, personally. Average at worst. Ending was the worst part but it's nothing unforgivable and it does wrap everything up well.

It started off with all sorts of potential to be a fun adventure story with likable, wacky characters, and around episode 20, it proceeds to completely shit the bed by turning into yet another boring, dreary space war. It remained that way until the end. One of the most disappointing /m/ shows I've watched.
