Usually when the situation you speak of occurs it's because they shot the show on commonly available 35mm or Super 35 film and thus had the imagery there. Often they have to go in and edit the image and remove things that you weren't supposed to see on the sides, like microphones or unfinished parts of the set.

Makai no Hana uses a lot less CG than first season. There's a good chunk of CG in the original series. It obviously isn't RED REQUIEM or YamiTera levels, but it's a good portion. It was one of its selling points as the CG was pretty good for the time and its production values.

Kouga carries her inside the armor near the end of Makai Senki where it's revealed that the inside is absolutely huge and he's not actually wearing the thing.

If Dragon Blood is another short series, I wonder if we'll get another Garo afterwards? It's probably going to be too long to do a sequel for Makai no Hana and they wouldn't do a third season for Ryuga (would they?).

Makai no Hana > Anime 1 > Gold Storm > Anime 2 > Retsuden > HD Garo > Zero

Will have been three years or so of Garo content by the time Dragon Blood ends, wouldn't be the worst time for a break. At the same time, I'm curious to see where Garo could go next. We haven't really had a brand new set of leads since 2014.
