Robot action's pretty great.

The music is some of the cheesiest songs ever written, even by the standards of the 80s. That said, I listen to a bunch of them on a regular basis.

Dare and The Touch are really great, but honestly, the instrumentals in this are my favorite. That slap synth bass in the track "Escape" and the "Autobot/Deception Battle" tracks.

And that one leitmotif they use as the unofficial "theme" that you can hear in both tracks. It's so simple and so effective.

The only decepticon that got killed permanently was Starscream and that was at Galvatron's hand. The rest of the dying decepticons were reformatted by Unicron. Of those most were guys that had their shit pushed in by Prime.

I'm 36, so maybe I have nostalgia glasses when it comes to the Transformers movie.

I was a transformers fan as a kid, they played G1 and GI joe back to back every day when i got home from school as a kid. G1 was my favorite because I have always loved robots.

When the G1 movie came out, it was fucking AMAZING. The visuals were so much better than the tv show, and killing Optimus was so epic. I was sooooo mad they did it. This was before the age of cartoons and comics where you automatically knew killing a main character was a gimmick and they would being that character back to life in a month or 2.

I loved the musci by Stan Bush and Vince Di Cola. Guitar rock and synthesizers, it was everywhere in the 80s, and it was done here really good. I am sure Millenilas will listen to this music and think it is cheesey as fuck compared to what is on the radio today, but "The Touch" and "Dare" fit this movie perfect.
