Macross is not a parody of Gundam, never has been. There are some counterpoints to Gundam, such as Gundam favoring military victories by exterminating the enemy until they cannot continue the fight where Macross favors cultural victories that bring the war to an end without genocide, but that's about it.

There isn't anything wrong with watching Gundam before Macross, but there isn't really anything special to bee gained from it. The only thing you have to watch for Macross is the early Macross stuff. Every new Macross builds on what came before it in a weirdly logical progression, so it really benefits from watching it in production order.

Not all of them could "hear" the song. They just feel the mood and changes of their surrounding them and sense those who have a connection to them. That's simply extreme empathy and awareness. If they were all fold sensitive then each should be able to resonate with the song which didn't happen. Keith most likely has fold receptors which is why he also got boosted in his final duel with Messer.

If resonating with each other just requires fold receptors/fold quartz, the fold resonance would be happening a lot more, namely, all of Walkure would be resonating with Mikumo even before Freyja was scouted, but they are not really resonating with her until Freyja came in and resonated with her, amplifying each other's output.

If anything, fold resonance appear to only happen to certain people that are compatible in some ways, like how Messer was able to resonate with Kaname, get a boost from her and control the Var despite her not-so-powerful fold receptors, but the rest of Walkure could only stop him from Varring out.
Similarly, Hayate only really resonates with Freyja.

These voice actors don't generally reveal things to come or still secret things. Minorin was almost assuredly talking about thing's we've already seen. Freyja becomes more adult. Yeah we've seen Freyja's character grow immensly. Episode 8 in particular. She states that recently Hayate became more main character like, and is power to pull everyone along is stronger... Again sounds like episode 8 in particular, but the main point is he's growing, personality changing. Mirage has grown more female or girllike recently, again she's talking present tense. Probably refers to her mellowing out a bit, and not constantly being super angry at Hayate all the time. She also did that elven blush. Again, a change in her personality however slight. Minorin was drawing attention to this, they're growing as characters.
