Disappointments are dependent on expectations.
I'm expecting a Go Nagai-style story with perhaps a tad more flashiness than DP would have had in the 70s, and nothing more. And that's probably exactly what Giga is.

Grendizer is the strongest because he is from the space

The mech itself is ok, but I prefere great mazinger.

The manga is pretty good, it would be better without the mazinger continuity, but the ending is quite powerfull. I'm talking about the manga, which had also a less interesting artstyle than other Nagai stuff, Ota's style is just not that great.

It's still worth a read.
