I think Jaspion is one of the few shows where the main character attacks the enemies in their human forms. Usually in those shows, they let the guy/girl transform into a monster, then have a fight. But in Jaspion, you see him fighting "human" opponents a few times.

He's kinda ruthless in fights too, the way he just cuts Mad Gallant's arm off, and how he cut Zampa's chest (the cyborg guy) before that.

Its more because the actual evil guys are all mostly humanoid mutants of some kind, with the giant monsters being just animals driven insane, hell I find Juspion/Jaspion one of the darkest toku out there because the villains spend most of the show indigenous fauna to die at his hands while they run to fight another day

No fucking way. The style, rivalry and violence is higher, the actor suit got REALLY fucked up. Juspion and Jiban are probably the best examples (many deaths, dark magic themes...). Champstice from MegaBeastEmpire is doing a really good job with Juspion.
