Watching Krauser get btfo is amazing. He builds up so much, and loses it all because Geist had a bone to pick. The Death Force themselves are great. I want to see more robopocalypse movies like that. Also the soundtrack.

Nah there's actually a lot of minor stuff that got changed. Hilarious animation errors aside I personally prefer the original cut because the DC uses shitty stock sound effects for everything some of which are the blaster sounds from Star Wars and has some bizarre moments like cropping out a huge chunk of the screen for like two seconds when Geist activates the death force.

I love MD Geist so much unironically. Everything awesome about the 80s rolled into one.

About Death Force, it sorta flies up its own asshole, but I like it. Not much japanese stuff with this kind of uber-grimdark comic book vibe. Lots of freakish imagery. Those parts with the robot scorpions eating people (how retarded is that? robots eating people!) are great

If you haven't yet, read the Night Lords novels by Aaron Dembski-Bowden. Very similar vibes to MD Geist.

The Night Lords are weapons that were good at what they did. Real good. They fought, they maimed, they killed, they struck fear into their enemies. However, they were too destructive and were difficult to reel in once they were let off the leash.

They were reviled and shunned and eventually turned on the empire that they were made for when they found out that part of what they were fighting for was based on a lie.
