The GX already looked like a satellite with its panels unfolded, and the Divider equipped to its backpack makes it look like a NASA lunar lander or something. Snowboard mode is just a bonus.

All the GX variants are great, DX included.

I wonder if Gundam X was supposed to be UC but then just got changed to an AU for whatever reason. It could very easily be retconned into UC.

I prefer to think of it as alt-UC. Change a few things, alter the development of colonies and the process for their own self-concept, change where the colonies are, probably start the war in something more like UC 95 or may even later.

The DX's original proportions look like shit. It wasn't until the MG came out that I started to like it.

Seriously though, I understand that they wanted to make the X on the face more pronounced so you could immediately get the visual pun, but the original head just took it way too far. The MG's more slimmed down whiskers are so much better it's not even funny.

I definitely prefer the high mobility type of mecha to the overwhelming firepower type of mecha. Maybe that's why I like the X-DV more than the X or DX.
