Not really, most late 80s/early90s GW artists had more of a punk edge to their art.
Combined with Banche's obsession with early renaissance and medieval art, it makes his stuff right in line with some of the nastiest black metal like Peste Noire, actually.

In the late 80s not really, it was just nasty thrash about Satan, but in the 90s, absolutely.
What I'm saying isn't that Blanche is in any way familiar with BM, I'm saying that his art falls right in line with BM aesthetics, especially the gargoylish French stuff of the second wave.
