My OST rips and other albums I've bought can be found here:

This thread is for sharing /m/ OSTs and/or other similar music genres (even if they aren't /m/), but music discussions are okay as well. If you have any requests, post them here and I'll try and see if I can find them anywhere.
Today's OST:
>Digital Trip Queen Emeraldas Synthesizer Fantasy (v2)
https://mega.nz/#F!a49zTBBB!Q85mrl3I8rsEqv8DcH8qFw
This was actually the first album I uploaded here when I started making these music threads here at /m/. If you're wondering why I'm uploading it here again, it's because it's a new version (as shown by the "v2" next to the title").
Since my vinyl-editing skills have been slowly getting better, I decided to take the time to record this album again and remove the things that were plaguing the last version: clicks/pops, 60 Hz noise, ground noise, etc. I'm doing the same thing with the other Digital Trip albums I uploaded before (Vifam, Xabungle, etc.), and with some of the other albums that I posted here as well.
I'll be posting v2 of Digital Trip Giant Gorg in a few days (maybe even tomorrow if I'm lucky enough).
thanks anon
Just finished editing Digital Trip Giant Gorg. I'll post it tomorrow since it's getting late right now
Thanks for the releases.
>Digital Trip Giant Gorg Synthesizer Fantasy (v3)

Ripped by me in FLAC/MP3.
Sample (for those who have yet to listen to this album):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKduL6zeL_Y
This album is similar to Queen Emeraldas in the sense that some songs were ruined because they were too quiet and the loud pre-amp hissing noise was much louder than the music itself, but luckily that has been fixed already.
The next Digital Trip album will be Vifam Vol. 1, but I might upload "THE MUSIC FROM LAYZNER" first before I get to uploading the other album.
>Gundam World Dance Track 0079
I don't usually make requests but would anybody happen to own a copy of this album? I've been looking for it but I can't seem to find a link anywhere

This is meant to replace the other version that was grabbed from Baidu and posted in the last thread
Currently in the process of editing Digital Trip Vifam Vol. 1. It'll be posted in a bit
In the meantime, have this:

Not really an /m/ album but I figured I would share it since Kentaro Haneda's a really great composer and I feel like this album contains some really good music by him.
This is the original soundtrack to the 1985 anime, which is also based off an English novel titled "Five Children & It". Unfortunately, much like Kentaro Haneda's other albums, this album doesn't contain all the music from the show and it's pretty hard to find.
Enjoy

Currently editing Yoroshiku Mechadoc Music Collection Vol. 2. It's a soundtrack to an 80s anime show about racing and the composer is the same person who made the music for M.D. Geist, so hopefully the music in this album should be enjoyable for you all
I've also bought 2 EP singles based on the "Locke the Superman" film; one of them contains the ED song and another random song, and the other EP contains karaoke versions of the songs from the first EP.
>>14284886
>the composer is the same person who made the music for M.D. Geist
Holy fuck.
I tried searching for more of his music once but couldn't find any, and VGMDB wasn't helping. What else of his is out there?
>>14266407
Excellent work!
>>14285177
I actually don't know to be honest. It appears that he didn't compose music for anime that much and i have no clue if he makes music for live-action movies/shows
Unfortunately the Mechadoc album will be finished some other day, but not now. Currently editing the second half of Side 1 of the album and it's just too damn dirty...it's much better if I just use wood glue
I'll work on a new version of Isao Tomita's Digital Synthesizer Fantasy album instead.
>>14282058
You know, it makes me wonder why Osamu Shoji didn't pull a Sugiyama and start composing for games back then? From some of the works I've heard out of him (DT remixes or original), most of them are arranged in a way that's very reminiscent of certain games (take Roots Search for example; some of the tracks sound like they would fit right at home in either classic RE or even Goldeneye). I mean, just hear this Macross track remix he also arranged and tell me it doesn't sound like something out of Star Fox:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLqy8ygNIu4&index=1&list=PL5C6F7D55B988F62F
>>14289328
If you think about it, the same thing could be said for plenty of other Digital Trip artists, such as Nobuyoshi Koshibe & Takashi Kukubo (Captain Tsubasa, Giant Gorg, L-Gaim), Jun Fukamachi (Yamato, Emeraldas), and Takefumi Haketa (Locke the Superman)...
>>14291166
Yeah, they're very skilled synth artists. It's a shame they're never even got a single ounce of work by any developer even if some of them have careers dating back to the 60's/70's and have either had experience as classical artists or additional experience with synth equipment of those times (especially those Moogs) or even both. A shame really.
>>14289328
Maybe they were just not interested.
I wonder how composers view videogames back then. Was it something they were glad to do or only last resort projects.
I know some had to fight to keep their tracks in the games back when data was very limited.
>>14293526
>Was it something they were glad to do or only last resort projects.
They (at least the more experienced composers att and not guys like Kondo) probably viewed them more as side projects of little importance, so basically your latter theory.
Speaking of Sugiyama, as I was looking for interviews on how he initially reacted upon composing for DQ1 I came upon this little tidbit:
>"I remember reading somewhere (sorry no citation) that when Enix first asked Suigiyama to compose for Dragon Quest, he came back to them with notes for classical music."
>"Due to the limited way the Famicom handled music, they were initially at a loss how to convert the classical music into chiptunes but eventually assigned a specialised sound engineer who managed to transfer Sugiyama’s compositions as accurately as possible."
>>14293611

Sample (uploaded by another YT user from his LP copy):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOB1x9IwTJs
This is another fantastic album in the Roman Trip series, composed and arranged by Jun Fukamachi (same person who did Digital Trip Emeraldas and Yamato). It contains original music based off of two sci-fi horror novels by Hideyuki Kikuchi: Alien Majukyo and Alien Makai Kouro.
Credit goes to "theturokfanboy" from the FFShrine forums for ripping this album.
Unfortunately I'm gonna have to stop editing Isao Tomita's synthesizer fantasy album since it's also pretty dirty. I'll post this in the meantime, though:
>Katsutoshi Morizono - 4:17 P.M. (1985) [Promo Version]

Ripped by me in FLAC/MP3.
Samples:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3UqK_T3M0E
This is a Japanese 80s jazz/funk album made by Katsutoshi Morizono. The album itself obviously isn't /m/ but I figured I'd post it here since Katsutoshi Morizono did help make the music for a SF-themed Roman Trip album that I haven't finished editing yet.
The album has been released on CD already but I had to buy the vinyl version since the CD version was, oddly enough, pretty hard to find.
Album info on Discogs:
https://www.discogs.com/Katsutoshi-Morizono-417-pm/release/3110209
Enjoy!
So as I've stated before, I got two EP singles of the Locke the Superman movie; one of them is the vocal version and the other is a karaoke version.
Since some CD singles include both the vocal and karaoke versions on the same CD, would you guys be okay with me combining both EP singles into one?
>Aura Battler Dunbine Complete Music File

CD 4: https://mega.nz/#!0VInCYaZ!v6qQmXlSFBun8AiPXxvgAigE6_fB1uHFQ_stJ88Atyc
So back in October 2015 there was a 4-CD release that contained all the music from the Dunbine TV show and its sequel OVA. Also included in the album is the first ever CD release of "Orchestral Suite in Byston Well", which I had previously ripped from my vinyl a long time ago.
Originally posted by "Kanyenda" from the FFShrine forums, though the original rip actually comes from a (foreign?) website. Enjoy!
I've listened to some stuff from the mega like L-gaim odyssey and Digital/jam trip Touch.
Really good as usual, thanks for sharing.
>>14308428
Glad you're enjoying it.I wish L-Gaim Odyssey would get more recognition
So the EP singles for "Locke the Superman" have arrived...the regular vocal EP is kinda warped so I'm going to look for some way to fix that before releasing it here alongside the karaoke version.
I'm also close to finishing Jam Trip Urusei Yatsura Vol. 3.
>>14317277
>Jam Trip Urusei Yatsura Vol. 3.
Awesome.
I didn't want to bug you about it.
>>14273899
Seconding this
I'm going to have to cancel working on Jam Trip Urusei Yatsura Vol. 3 right now as I forgot to save the project file and now I have to start all over from Side B...the record itself is also incredibly dirty so I'm going to ask the original ripper to clean it with wood glue so that I don't cause any audio quality loss when editing it.
I'll begin working on Vol. 4, though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lW3Z81UKcW4
Doubt the world is great.
>>14324025
Is there a link to this album? It sounds pretty cool.
I'll be posting two albums tomorrow, but if something goes wrong during the process it'll probably be posted on Thursday or (least likely) on Friday instead.
>>14328043
Huh?
>>14328341
I posted it in hopes of that, sorry. The composer is Koichi Sugiyama if you can't read nip, you get that Ideon/DQ vibe from it.
>>14333853
Luckily there appears to be a copy of the album on eBay. I hope nobody buys it by the time I manage to afford enough money for it
Does anyone have The Brave of Gold Goldran soundtrack? There's only a couple of songs uploaded on youtube and the ones im looking for play when Dran transforms in the first episode and when he combines into Goldran
>>14336279
I was hoping the soundtrack for that show would be easily found on the internet but oddly enough I can't find it anywhere. I'll ask at FFShrine if anyone has it
>Niagara Songbook Vol. 1
https://mega.nz/#F!TodnTRSK!ibFFZ1hFJnjwOmS2xiMGpg
Ripped by me in FLAC/MP3.
I normally clean my records and get rid of any distracting clicks when I edit them, but I decided to leave them on this album since it can be easily found on Amazon.co.jp (and in better quality, too).
Anyways, a looooong time ago, I uploaded an album to the "non /m/" portion of the MEGA music archive containing songs sung by Eiichi Ohtaki. This album contains orchestral rearranged versions of most of the songs from that album, arranged by Akira Inoue.

>>14338767
Thanks for the albums. I wasn't able to find it anywhere and the people over at FFShrine ignored my request so I guess none of them had it either
Was currently editing Vol. 2 of Niagara Songbook but turns out my current recordings of it were also corrupted.
Really wish Audacity and my pre-amp would work properly for once
Would anyone happen to have sheet music for Beyond the Time? I have had the sudden urge to jazz it up for Thunderbolt.
>>14347834
There doesn't appear to be that much sheet music for the Gundam series, so no. Sorry
Thank you so much for all of this!
>>14351803
Damn. Well, time to try composing as a side project. Thank god I've still got the piano.

>Niagara Song Book (Vol. 2)
https://mega.nz/#F!ukEEHCxD!b2fIzNiLkD9ZEpxu-O4wrg
Ripped by me in FLAC/MP3.
This is the second volume to the previous album I posted a while ago, and like the last album it contains orchestral versions of songs made by Eiichi Ohtaki. I also left in the clicks/pops since it can easily be found on CD.
Samples:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6OeQEerrCY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfALcxiY3Vc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gr4T5zQNagM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56ByJq_PjSU (skip to 3:01)
First link is the orchestral version and the second link is the vocal version for comparison.
And...a bonus track from me (not my rip): https://mega.nz/#!3xkGEBAS!LqMQZiSf6FhxTNSlxZBO-aENt6-eiNAQVgyTyaSPHEo
This is a "promotion" version of Manatsu no Hiru no Yume. Originally released as a promo EP (which is incredibly hard to find), it combines the Niagara Song Book version of the song with a version of the vocal version that takes out some of the instruments to match it with the Niagara Song Book version. Somebody uploaded it on YT a long time ago but I was able to download it before his channel got taken down.
The song is included in "Niagara CD Book", but that collection sadly costs a fuckton of money...

https://mega.nz/#F!up0inIYA!1_on6g-Q1cQlHNrkdjF22g
I figured I should've posted this by now, so here it is:
The final two Jam Trip Urusei Yatsura albums won't be posted until sometime later in the future due to the fact that the ripper of the albums is currently trying to clean the audio.
I've also put wood glue on some of my other records for the time being, so it'll take a while for those albums to be uploaded as well.
I might have a special rare /m/ LP album posted here sometime soon, though...
>>14362942
Why must you toy with my heart like that.
Added a new OST to the /m/usic archive:
>Tooyama Sakura Uchū Chō - Yatsu no Na wa Gold Music Collection
Not my rip. It's in the "Other" folder
This is the OST to an obscure OVA from the 80s, featuring character designs by Hiroyuki Kitazume. Music in this album is made by Kentaro Haneda. I can post the FLAC version if anybody wants it
Thanks and good stuff...well, do you have the Southern Cross OST ??
>>14367654
It's on BakaBT.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTM2xoKLVAc
Hey, so. I give up. I have crawled everywhere on the internet.
Every MEGA link on the Internet is dead. The nyaa torrent is dead. And the one fucking site, on the whole goddamn Internet that has it is an ancient vbulletin italian site that now has me on a "moderation queue" right after I register my account.
Does anybody have Trider's OST as it properly appears on nyaa? y'know, the two CD folders with the cover images inside, and all the MP3s untranslated?
Because if Zambot and Daitarn are in the /m/usic archive, surely someone has Trider..
>>14370753
How ancient is this site that you speak of? I found some Italian website that uploaded it 2 years ago but I'll need to sign up to download it.
>>14371069
Wew boy here we go:
Yeah, that site is the one. I waited all night after i registered, and then the webmaster got in contact with me finally. I don't know Italian, but luckily Google Translate seems to be really good with friends with Italian, so I just copy + pasted what I wanted to say to him in the email.
Basically, we had a back and forth over the fact that I had fake personal information on my profile. According to him, as a sign of good fake you must use your real personal information. So I bit the bullet and did it, and my account was activated with all functions.
Here's where the next problem came in: The download section functions like a torrent site, essentially. According to a wall of text on the side bar, people previously came to their site and downloaded en masse and then left without a word of thanks.
So now, you have to upload there in order to be able to download there. The upload cap is 20 MB, in order to upload higher than that you have to give the webmaster a link to your files and he'll upload it to the server interally or whatever.
I've already uploaded two files around 13 mb each but I haven't seemed to reach the required quota yet, I'm not even sure when they activate your permissions to download. Guess it's just the waiting game now.
>>14371105
Someone I know might have the OST, lemme ask him in the meantime.
>>14370753
>Does anybody have Trider's OST as it properly appears on nyaa? y'know, the two CD folders with the cover images inside, and all the MP3s untranslated?
did you check tenshi?
>>14371105
>I've already uploaded two files around 13 mb each but I haven't seemed to reach the required quota yet, I'm not even sure when they activate your permissions to download. Guess it's just the waiting game now.
>uploading your information on a euro spic website and then having an argument with the webmaster to get one album
You're too good to us, man.
>>14371105
Okay, I'm back. I've uploaded five files from J9's soundtrack. It comes out to about 54 MB I've uploaded there.
I don't know how much this site wants in uploads to unlock the download permissions, but I'm going to email the Webmaster soon, since I'm pretty sure he might be the only staff there, or at least one I can reliably contact. I'll write him something along the lines of,
>"I've uploaded 5 files to your site and will upload more very soon because I want to be apart of your community. However, it seems I can only upload here. Can I download some of what this site has to offer? it seems nobody else really has downloaded anything in quite awhile, so I don't think it'd be that big of a deal." or something to the effect of that.
>>14371143
Nothing has worked that I've found online. Everything is dead linking. This is a working download I found, it apparently is all in order, so I'm sticking with this.
If you find it, cool. I want it uploaded either way so it's free and open for everyone to easily access, so yeah.
>>14371171
Somebody has to do it. I don't care who does it, just that it gets done. If Marty gets it, that'd be great, but if not I'll just keep sticking with this.
I hate gated downloads, and I think everyone should get a chance to experience shit like this freely and openly. Trider was out there for a time in small quantities, but nobody who uploaded it remembered to circulate the download onto mirrors or just keep a reliable link up. But /m/ will keep the link up this time, if /m/ can't keep an /m/ soundtrack up, nobody can.
>>14371499
"I've uploaded 5 files to your site and will upload more very soon because I want to be apart of your community. However, it seems I can only upload here. HOLY SHIT IT WORKED I HAVE IT. After a sleepless night, restlessly waiting, trying to figure out this Italian site. I got it, /m/.
Trider G7 is back on the internet available for MEGA download, now. I didn't edit anything, all tracks are there. There are two CD folders for the tracks and three image folders.

This is a synthpop album from the 80s that has yet to be released on CD. Two of the songs in this album (Dancing in the Sunshine and Never Gonna Say Goodbye) are featured in Season 1 of the "Cat's Eye" anime as theme songs.
Enjoy!
I started watching Wingman and I really enjoy the Digital trip and Jam trip.
I also got two ost album on bakabt but it's still missing stuff like the insert song that the "Duel" track from the Digital trip is based on.
Any rips of those other wingman album, COCC-6338 and COCC-6339 I believe.
>>14401548
I know which albums you're talking about but unfortunately none of them have been ripped yet.
>>14402341
That's too bad.
By the way since you mentioned it earlier, the digital trip serie are really appreciated so any new stuff is welcome.
>>14405379
And Jam trip too!
>>14410205
Speaking of Jam Trip, I might actually have the chance to share another one...I'll report back later.
I was looking for a download of the Digital Trip SF Animethology '86 Synthesizer Fantasy album after it got removed from youtube, but the folder in the mega seems to be empty. Will it be reuploaded or is there somewhere else I can get it?
>>14412456
I can provide an alternate link in the meantime, but I do happen to own the LP myself. When I get to it, I'll upload a better copy of the album

>Jam Trip The Urashiman
https://mega.nz/#F!Kwd3ESoA!0QEs_gOSVRLgLYxmmyaJLA
Ripped in MP3/FLAC.
Back in 2014 Columbia remastered 2 Jam Trip albums and released them digitally, this album being one of them. A kind FFShrine user (who wishes to remain anonymous) bought this album, shared it with me, and gave me permission to share it with others publicly so I decided to share it here with you all.
The files he shared with me are actually in 24bit .wav format but I didn't share them here because the files are quite bit (1.12 GB in total), but if you guys still want it anyway I'll upload it later.
Does anyone have the Armored Trooper Votoms OST?
>>14417475
It's on BakaBT.
Sorry to beg, but does anyone have the Mazinkaiser OVA soundtrack, I tried looking on nyaa, and bakabt and animebytes, the one torrent I found on nyaa didn't have any seeders even though it says it has one. Bakabt and AB didn't have it at all.
>>14418472

Not my rip.
I'll take a look at the one on nyaa.se and see if I can download it.
>>14417475
If we're talking about VOTOMS, who has Mellowlink's OST? the only guys who posted it up were the geniuses at ffshrine who keep deleting their download links, and they won't activate my posting permission even after a week.
>>14417650
I would but
>>14420584
I see...alright, I'll download it myself and post it later.
>>14419168
I'll post them in a bit.
I doubt anybody here has it, but would anybody happen to own the complete Mellowlink LD set? There's only 1 soundtrack release for the OVA but the LD set includes two CDs, the other containing more music than the original release...
I do happen to have links to both of those CDs but if anybody here owns them I was hoping to have them ripped in better quality than the ones I'll be posting soon.

Not my rips.
I'm almost done with Dancing Xabungle, but it'll take me a while before I get it posted here...the last song kinda got fucked up during the recording so i'll need to record it again.
Dancing Xabungle will be posted tonight.
I know I said I was going to buy the Fandora OST, but I actually found another rare LP OST by Koichi Sugiyama...if I don't win it then I'll just buy the Fandora OST instead.

>Dancing Xabungle (v2)

Ripped by me in MP3/FLAC.
Well, it's finally here! To those of you who are seeing this for the first time, this album contains funky rearrangements of various songs from both the Xabungle movie and the TV show; it currently remains released on LP only.
For those of you who have seen this already, here are the new changes:
>increased volume
>removed clicks
This was easily heard in the last song of Side A and B...it was quite a nuisance if you ask me.
>reduced volume of vinyl ground noise
>better pics
The scans I made a long time ago will stay the same, but I took better pics of the Front and Back and the Insert sleeve. I decided to take out the Obi for the pics since I think it looks better that way (and also because Rag doesn't deserve to get completely covered up by the Obi)
That's pretty much it. I'll try to start remastering the Xabungle Unreleased BGM Collection LP sooner or later.

Thanks! I'll add this to the archive soon.
In other news:
So unfortunately I didn't win that other rare Koichi Sugiyama OST I was hoping to get but I decided to get two other LPs instead:
>Sound of Anime
I think you guys will like this one. This LP, made by Ishida Hidenori (who, if I'm not mistaken, made the SFX for Dragon Ball) contains lots of old SFX used in various SF anime shows. Useful for any video project of some sort.
>Ninja Senshi Tobikage
I'll be honest: I really didn't want to get this since the OST barely contains all the music used in the show (and it's unlikely that the unreleased BGM will be released in the near future), but since the only rip available is a low-quality rip I figured I should just buy it myself to make a better version.

Yeah, there's a booklet inside that probably explains everything but its in Japanese.
>>14442998
Oops
I saw a Blogspot page that explained that he created "Fizz Sound Creation" and on the website for that company there are some pics inside the studio that have some sound reels with "Dragon Ball" written on them, so I had assumed that he created the SFX for that show.
>>14443323

>>14443519
I'll try.
Since it looks like I did a good job with the pics for Dancing Xabungle I'll probably do the same for my other albums that I've uploaded here (removing the Obi strip and whatnot).
Digital Trip Queen Emeraldas has a booklet that I really wanted to take pics of but I was terrible at doing it before...but maybe I could give it a try now.
After months of trying to get it to work, I'm finally done recording Digital Trip SF Animethology...
For some reason the record would sound distorted whenever I recorded it; this is usually fixed by adjusting the position of the needle but nothing seemed to work. The problem just magically disappeared today though
>>14451251
It must be a miracle.
>>14443744
thanks as always!
I've had a pet theory about how one of the stock noises is made for ages and if I'd love to get some clue if I'm even in the ballpartk
Does anybody know where I can find the proper OST of Future Police Urashiman? Or is there maybe also a synthesizer fantasy of it?
I love the music of the show but could never find its soundtrack anywhere. And the Jam Trip album doesn't quite do it for me.
>>14456302
I created a folder in the MEGA archive titled "Urashiman", you'll find all the TV OSTs in there. None of those OSTs are my rips
Digital Trip Urashiman is in the "Digital Trip" section in the "Other" folder. Also not my rip

The same seller who was selling that and the Anime SFX LP that I bought is now selling a rare Roman Trip album that's performed by the same people that did Jam Trip Macross...I hope he puts it back on eBay for .99 cents if no one buys it at Yahoo Auctions JP for 350 yen

Ripped by me in MP3/FLAC.
Well, it's finally here! For those of you who don't know what this album is, each track contains synthesized versions of various anime theme songs all compiled into one song; the people that made this album (Appo Sound Project) actually did a good job at doing so imo.
List of anime featured in this album:
>Dunbine
>L-Gaim
>Zeta Gundam
>Macross: DYRL
>Dancouga
>Vifam
>Panzer World Galient
>SPT Layzner
>Seijushi Bismarck
>Nausicaa

Simply a must.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3un2ju7e1M
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMD_BqsYFSA
I know this is going to sound pretty silly, but how hard is it to recreate a synthesized BGM track from an old anime show?
So I was skimming through some episodes of Ninja Senshi Tobikage to see which tracks weren't included in the soundtrack...I haven't gone through all of them but I did notice that some of the tracks were clearly done with a keyboard or something.
It's obviously not an easy task but is it possible?
>>14483621
After attempting to do this I've decided to just pretend that this idea was never suggested
Anyways, I'll be uploading new pics of Digital Trip Queen Emeraldas in a bit. The only thing worth checking out to be honest is the booklet (if you know Japanese)
Pics have been uploaded onto MEGA. It's in the "Digital Trip Queen Emeraldas Synthesizer Fantasy" folder
I'll post them later on the 70s/80s thread too
