It's probably an unpopular opinion, but I really like this new series, more than the last one at this point (which isn't too hard, to be honest). There's no extreme censorship like in the first few episodes, what's going on is really entertaining, and the characters are pretty fun to watch. I'm incredibly excited for next week because Joseph G. Newton is voiced by Ishida Akira, who happens to be my favourite VA. They also very quickly toned down the humour and comedy from the first few episodes, and it's used to alleviate the mood in between scenes. I like it.

There is a resemblance, but I'm pretty sure it was unintentional. I think it's meant to show how the roaches have had their evolution warped to be something pseudo-human, by depicting them as looking like early hominids. But the fact is that the early hominids evolved in Africa, and so black Africans are closest to the original human stock and look similar to that.

1. of course they wanted to wipe out the roaches since they finished their jobs.
2. they're roaches, they can survive nukes.
3. They seriously didn't want to nuke Mars since the went though all the trouble to terraform it to begin with (thanks, in part, to the roaches).
