FS2 is said to have killed space sims by getting everything just right enough that any game in the genre would be compared to it and probably end up failing because it didn't reach the standard in some area.

As far as I care SupCom did that for RTS games. I just can't enjoy a game where half my actions seem to have something to do with manipulating the camera so I can see shit, or giving redundant orders one by one when I could have issued them minutes ago in that other game. Feels as clunky as Dune 2 on my old P100, or something. And nostalgia has its limits.

I've played it and it's interesting, but the single-player is crap. It's all about multiplayer and you can't beat the Koreans or the Russians.
