If you use more memory, the pixelation will go down assuming hte same length of the video.
a 20 second webm at 3 MB with average action will be fine as far as pixelation goes, especially at the dimensions you're using.
The source is an issue, sure, but the closer you get the better your results

She was covered though. notBellri and Master Helman had her dead to rights and Master Helman shot up at least one of her guns only a few seconds before hand. If she'd moved then one or the other would probably have hit her unprotected side.

It's also probably to emphasize how by the book she is, that she got taken down by a better fight (Helman) and never tried anything odd to get out of it, instead just closing her eyes and panicking a bit. Presumably this experience will make her a better fighter, especially after seeing Hayate dancing around space just like his superiors because he didn't want to be left behind.

Done in 3D. It looks good but it's not really an animation marvel since every studio uses 3D staging to draw over in high-budget stuff. Sometimes they don't even go all out and leave part of it CG like Onepiece Film Z.

SDF is kind of weird, bi-polar series in some ways. It fluctuates between comedy hi-jinx and some really dark shit, but handles it deftly enough that you don't even really consider how dark it is and by the end most people are just left thinking of it as a show about magic singing despite it containing an episode where the enemy wipes out pretty much everyone on Earth. There's only a couple of people left alive on the entire planet if I recall. Enough that the Macross itself became the main center for population and cloning had to be introduced for decades afterwards to help repopulation.
