Quick charge is helpful and definitely a required module for something like the basic IIF, but quick switch allows for the sturmfaust to be fired incredibly quickly. It's such an insane boost. If you want to bully to the max, then I'd recommend it.

Also, I feel you on that grenade thrower. I'm trying to get 4 IIF2's and I'm at three rocket shooters but I've gotten at least 5 blast expansions and 4 grenade throwers.

Is there anything special about the GM Cannon WD Custom? I'm just using a rental atm, but the mounted cannon isn't very strong, even at the F type.

Are there casual matches yet in this game? I hate how everything in this game was ranked. Once I hit gold the game became so frustrating, I was good enough to stay in gold, but it was still miserable how much I got stomped on and it doesn't help how rigid the meta seemed at the time.

Not really a solution but if you play at weird hours you're more likely to get a mix of different ranked players which is amazing. It feels more like an actual battle where you have aces and complete greenhorns. But yeah, since the matchmaking can't get enough people in the wee hours of Japanese mornings it'll give you a good mix often times.

Has the good 3 burst mg, but also a 3 burst BR, a CBZ and a CBR, instant swap waist missiles which also have a dumb fire option, and grenades (yay)

But even if you get beam shooter, you want to use the CBZ + dumb fire combo, it's disgusting

You slam someone with a CBZ round and either stagger or KD, and then follow up instantly with a salvo of dumb fire rockets

Even without the combo, it is a 280 cost skinny suit with a CBR, which is no news to feds but a holy shit big deal to Zeon

First off you have to be popular.

Once you have acquired popularity, you call your friends and tell them you're going to have a party.

Make sure to order plenty of food. Pizza is always popular and most people like straight up pepperoni. Safe bets are always hawaii pizzas, cheese pizzas and pepperoni pizzas. If you make sure not to invite any vegan fags you're sure to please everyone with those choices.

Music is generally good but what you play depends on who's coming. If it's a lot of basketball americans rap and 90s/80s era pop is good. Country western for general white folks. I don't understand anyone younger then 30 so I guess for them play dubstep or Justin Bieber or something. Figure out what they like and play it. That's your job not mine.

Of course, having a party be successful depends largely on where it's hosted. If you have a large house having it there will almost guarantee success. Small apartments can also be successful, but only if there's only a few people coming. Having parties at places like pizza joints can be good too, as it saves you money on delivery charges.

If there are no supports or heal stations then I try to play that until I inevitably get rushed.
Then I go to play offense and if I somehow don't get my GMs one-shot by a laser or rocket then the lack of a support becomes super apparent and the team folds at the frontline and gets pushed in.
Is there a suit that gets a stronger dispenser that heals faster or something so I can just spawn in and drop those and then respawn as a combat oriented suit? I mean I want to try my hand at shooting shit but Supports are so useful its not even funny.

I was going to complain about melee until I tried it on my own. I got behind the enemy suit, whipped out the saber and did a WHOPPING 20% damage with the 2 slashes.
So now I understand that the problem lies within my own shitty paper thin suits and nothing else. How the heck am I supposed to move up to "survive a shot every once in a while territory"? I used the GP to buy the cold districts GM since it only has a slightly larger cost and timer than default suit, but with better weapons but that shit is atmosphere only. Is there a counterpart that's for space? I can't find one in the store.
How get better suit, I'm dying over here in the most literal sense of the word.

Cold District imo doesn't offer too much to the table that makes it better than the regular GM due to lack of weapons, but at least it can properly melee. The only way you're using a Cold District Type in space is if you're using the space modules, but I'm like 80% sure no one ever buys those unless they really want their favorite ground/space suits in different terrain since it's just a waste of module slots and increase the respawn timer. If you're attacking with the beam saber regularly, that actually does jack all for damage, you're going to have dash then melee, that knocks enemies down and should allow you to set up for another dash melee. I'd say practice on some bots in practice mode first to get a feel for your suit's melee.

First let's get your second question out of the way. From my pic, there's the brown icon circled in red. If it's brown only, that means it's Ground-only. If it's purple, then it's Space-only, and Space-only units get a bonus in boost and movement in space maps. If it's blue, then it's an Aquatic mobile suit, it doesn't suffer anything by being on land, but gets a bonus when submerged in water.

The GM isn't a horrible unit, it just pales in comparison to the more specialized units like the GM Early Type and Aqua GM. The GM really is not meant to melee anything to death, trying to boost, dash, and melee an enemy usually consumes the whole boost gauge and you're left crippled after just one attack. The GM shines more in the shooting department, where it can use grenades for attacking enemies hiding in areas(I suck at using grenades though lol) and the bazooka(Gold Type GMs only) for weakening enemies. I'd say focus more on using the GM's ranged options and grenades for harassing enemies and try the beam spray gun on enemies that are closer to you rather than the beam saber.

For an MS that's better than the GM, if you're looking for an Assault type, try the Assault Aqua GM or the Assault Desert GM, which is the second pic. Aqua GM is a better option because it's more cheap and good for starting players, beam pick when used while boosting is a straight line dash rather than the sweeping motion of many other MS using beam sabers, so be wary of that. For Heavy Types, stick with the GM Early Type, it's decent for the cost it has and helps players get used to charging their weapons before firing on other Heavy Types. You can also try the Heavy Aqua GM since it has a 6-tube missile launcher.

My alt got the quel and zssa. Zssa works well if it had the missile shooter trait, also a gold could act like WD MP Guncannon. Quel BR dash melee has long reach but a terrible recovery.

The regular GM actually does better in space because you don't have to worry about melee as much. The grenades are really helpful in this space map's rotation, and the Spray Gun/MG can be used if you get in a 1v1. The GM Early Type is also good there, use the bazooka. The Ball is a repair type with very little offensive options, but it has an extremely low respawn timer and modules can boost up its weaponry. You can also use the GM Cannon, just switch out the artillery for a different weapon. Other than that, the last one is the GM Command Space Type is the only other low cost that comes to mind, but it's 190 respawn timer.

Still pure zeek, still trundling behind and despite the lack of upgrades on the Hi-Zack I've gotten mileage out of it, it's pretty much at this stage in the upgrade process a Zaku in terms of speed and boost so adapting ain't hard, been getting some good mileage out of the 3burst MG F type, F type CBF and F type CBR.

Yeah my balance is fucked, but with the way Feds are it's better this way I feel.

That's because the Gerbera Tetra is pretty much the best suit in the game. It will even melt a FA Alex very quickly. It's not that the Gerbera Tetra is the only meta Zeon suit, it's just that it's the most meta suit in the entire game if you ask me. It seems to work well for everyone else, but I can't make it work the ways others can.

I fully charge the CBR, and shoot someone with it. He's supposed to fall flat and I instant switch to the howitzer and rocket launchers to finish 'em off.

What happens 100% of the time is they get hit by the beam, don't get knocked down, turn around and then kill me in under a second flat cause guncannon can't dodge for shit.

I have the CBR type F. I have Beam Shooter lv 3. I maxed the damage on the CBR. But I can't even KD flying repair zakus. Best that happens is I hit a flying Zaku and deal like 60% of its HP and get +2 points for assist when the Alex or Pixie Gundam kills it.

Are you sure they are actually in the air? Rocket shooter is the best passive for the WD MP Guncannon because an F type CBR without beam shooter will still knock just about anything down unless they have a shield up or very high balance.

If they are on the ground, don't expect to knock them on their face, but the stagger is still often enough for the howitzer to catch them so that a combo will still completely hit them.

Well, to clean the groggy air here a bit, I can lay out some hints.

First off is select your suit, and learn its strengths. What you're looking for is "how to secure kills", in general, which comes down to combos. The most simplistic way of killing for Federation is currently fast-moving shotgun-like weapon using assaults. This derives from the newly reinforced shotguns, and especially the Hyaku-Shiki unit. All you need to do is shotgun, and maybe mop up remnants with your bazooka. Second comes dedicated melee suits - Gundam Pixie, Pixie Fred Reber machine, GM Strikers, Striker Gundam and a variety of other suits. Dedicated melee machines are such that they are rarely worth more than 300 points, no matter how deadly their melee, as they take huge risks with their playstyle. You will die, but so will the enemy. Simply learn your melee combos of choice, then find an ambush position, and execute those who wander too close. Then there's the "snipers". Self-explanatory really, plus mines. Then there are the superbly powerful Federation heavies. Choose either the Zaku F2 from events, combine CBR F with sturmfaust F, and kill by ambush. Otherwise, choose the even stronger GunCannon variants - everything with a charge beam rifle linking to instant switch weapons is valid. This theme is even more powerful in the FAG and the Heavy Gundam, and the idiotically hyperpowerful FAG Alex. You drop or wince your prey with a charge beam shot, thanks to the inherent oversizedness of your enemy, and then blast them to the ground with secondary weapons. FAGlex lacks instant switch, but the stupendously powerful bazooka and sturmbazooka make up for it. The more common way of employing FAGlex, however, is to use the most powerful bazooka in the game, the charge bazooka F, and follow up with the 1k bazooka. The result is the same as with F2, but stupendously more powerful. And finally, there are the "normal" suits for Federation beyond this.

To add to this a little, there are a couple low cost Feddie suits that can do combos like this. Early Type GM with beam shooter can easily knock suits out of the air with the CBR F. Best part is it's only 200 cost and as a grunt suit it's very easy to get to LV5 custom.

For a CBZ suit, either use the Desert GM at 240 cost or the Land Battle GM at 220. Land Battle GM can only be acquired during events, though.

Finally! It was announced that Zeta Gundam would be buffed in the coming update. Great news for everyone, as Zeta will move towards primary meta status, no longer being overshadowed by the gilded zeon reject suit. It will have upgraded damage values, shot speed, ammo count and flight transformation mode, and will be made able to hold its shield up while carrying its big gun. Zeta really needed it, I'll say, as it was actually damageable by tetras and other lesser suits while carrying its primary weapon. Now it will have a solid set of guaranteed knockdown weapons to make it properly stand out as a Gundam.
