How has Ghost been so far now that it's past the half-way mark. I stopped watching Kamen Rider during Wizard because I was so bored, and I tried keeping up with Ghost but quickly fell behind. The 6ish episodes were nothing special and I just haven't had the motivation to catch up really.

I think I'm sort of tired of modern Rider shows with all their gimmick and constant belt yammering. Also they keep adding more and more CGI and less physical stuns and special effects it seems. Maybe I'm just getting old and bitter

I did enjoy what I've seen of Gaim though, I should go back and get around to finishing it.

Hey, /krg/. I've only watched W (great) and Kiva (eh). I know there is somewhat of a guide in OP. Though, I started watching V3 and enjoyed the first two episodes. After that it just started going of the rails. Not much attention to detail, awkward pacing, and weird choices were apparent enough to annoy me. My question basically is, are all the Showa era series like this or are some worth the time?

Is it only me or the recent series have a very lazy way of handling power-ups/final form? I mean, most older series like Agito, Blade, Kabuto, OOO, etc... have power-ups tied to their story progress or comes with a price to pay. But for with past few series I just can't help but feel that Toei can't think of a good excuse to give them power-ups and only wanted to milking money. It's understandable as it's just business, but meh

Keiketsu Zubat is legendary both for how corny it is, and how charming it is. It's one of Shotaro Ishinomori's earliest live shows, and it's very experimental at times. On Ken's turn, he threw the boomerang, which somehow picked up the sign, bolted magically back into place, then skimmed along all the gang member's bodies close enough to cut the buckles off their pants, exposing their underwear, after which Ken caught it, all after having thrown it backwards.

They come near the end of the original series. I guess it was a way to make kids feel like they can help the hero. Also, merchandising, since they had Rider themed caps and medals. IIRC, I think they even show in the series at some point Rider themed bikes and tricycles. And then the stuff all changed once V3 started, so more sales.

I don't think the staff liked them, of course. It's pretty obvious in the original series where they seem to almost disappear during the multi-part episodes like the beginning of the Gel-Shocker stuff, the Shocker Riders and the finale.

You can explain most of the movie inconsistencies away though.

Movie War Core didn't introduce an OOO form, while Burakawani wasn't a form particularly stronger than the rest.

Fourze used Rocket States in the show after getting it in the movies, and Meteor Fusion requires Meteor's abilities which is pretty pointless to use instead of Meteor in the show.

Wizard's Rush form was dream magic while Infinity Dragon was an alternate reality.

All of Gaim's movie forms were wearing other Rider's helmets.

Drive is weird. I would imagine Type Fruits wouldn't stick around because it belongs with Gaim on a planet far away. Meanwhile Type Special shouldn't have stayed around due to time fuckery but apparently he uses it in the Chaser Saga? And Super Dead Heat is a form you wouldn't willingly use.

Ghost didn't get anything from Drive's movie. It has the Legend Rider forms it used in the specials and Rider 1's movie, which it probably won't use in the show because Legend forms.

I liked the character interactions quite a bit, both the good and the greed. Not a huge fan of Dr. Maki's plot in the latter half I guess, but it allowed the characters to do their thing.

Character interaction/development wise I think Ryuki is the best if you don't mind going back to an earlier series.

If you want to stick with just generally more modern stuff I'd probably just go for W, seeing as it follows a similar sort of method that the post-decade shows follow. If you don't mind something a bit more comedy based and fun I think Den-O also has really strong character interactions and development too.
