You can say that about anything. Most people who watch the OVA probably will be expecting the same cast so I don't see anything wrong with warning them.

Also, Giant Robo's manga ending is unsatisfying because most people want their mecha anime/manga to end with a nice fight between robots. In this case, GIANT fucking ROBOS.

No, I consider it one of the few pieces of /m/ art. Not to bash other shows, but Giant Robo is just in a higher tier of quality. Not everyone is out to meme the hell out of you, and not everything you dislike is a meme.

I just finished this tonight and I was kinda disappointed. I think Imagawa's style really isn't for me, as he doesn't really seem to do robot fighting much. Despite the title, there wasn't enough focus on Giant Robo himself, imo.
