My theory on the bike.

It was originally supposed to be Jin's bike, that's why it was painted in his color scheme. The Amazon head on the bike matches Haruka's form, so I'm guessing they wanted to stick one of the armlets on Jin to refine him into the new school Amazon that Haruka becomes, but he probably didn't want to.

Not as good as last few episodes but still pretty great. Although it isn't heavy on it the comedy in this has been great so far, especially the tissue guy. I also like how well they have used smaller spaces for fight scenes and the queen ant suit looks incredible

You know, I'm glad they made this series. It's a bit more on the serious side than I'd like but they have you invested in most of the characters now and I want to see more of Mamoru, Haruka, and Jin. Not to mention those next episode previews are amazing every single time.

Everything feels like the kinda stuff we should be expecting from high quality tokusatsu shows, I fucking love the camera work, it's indication of actual effort put into this and not some carbon pasted toku show you make for kids on Sunday morning. They need to fucking make more, I'd kill for a show like this but for Kamen Rider Super 1 which has a Dead Space feel to it.

Does anyone get serious Kuuga vibes from how this show takes itself very serious? I'm loving it so far, was having a hard time dealing with Ghost and it's the second KR season I drop during broadcast.

Only if you fail to understand nuisance and meaning. Going for a word that is the most direct translation ignores how it can have a different implication in both cultures, thus no longer works as intended. No. They as characters are great. The boss is only edgy because he has to in order to keep him and his team together. If he lets their emotions get the best of them, tgey will screw and they will lose more friends. You see that in Mamorou who has trouble fighting now because is still so distraught over losing 2 of his friends. So it is a necessary facade on the boss's part. In reality he is like the "team dad" and even hates the Nozama company for what they allowed to happen to innocent people.

The fight direction for them is just a little awkward. Partly because the Japanese like to have their dramatic pauses at weird moments sometimes, which is why you get shit like monsters just standing there when a Rider transforms. In this moments it is not about the reality of the situation, but about conveying the emotion driving it. Also partly because they have to wait for suit actors for the Amazons to do their thing for the scene.

Gaim was pretty great, I recommend watching it, although it gets into some Urobuchi silliness of him angling for ridiculous religious metaphors and then failing to do anything interesting with them, along with EVERYONE getting beat with the suffering stick at one point or another.


Drive was pretty fucking rad, although people still shitpost up and down the place about it since it's still relatively recent.

Ghost has been... okay so far. It's not as good as the previous two, but again, watch it and make your own goddamn opinions.

Rider 1 movie doesn't have subs yet but it's reported to not be that good, so there's that.
