So, if four Arwings (which aren't that wide) nearly fill the entire width of the hangar of the Great Fox, and the hangar is as wide as the rest of the ship's body, and the hangar also isn't that long... does that mean the interior of the Great Fox is like 90% that FUCKING HALLWAY they're still running down on foot? How impractical is that?

It's like, a bridge, a hallway, a bathroom, and the hangar? That's it?

How bad is /v/ right now? I know they losing their shit because of the reviews, but the game sounds like another W101 situation and that made me more hype.
>>
Ah, no Krystal. Perfecto.
>>
>>14140916
From what I can tell, it's reviewers giving low scores because it's an actual game and not "press x to cutscene".

Although even some of the more favorable reviews are saying that the motion controls take a bit to get used to/aren't that great. But it could be a case of W101 or Kid Icarus Uprising where it just takes some time to master them.

I've sadly learned to enjoy games more by avoiding that place all together. My exclusion from that place has been going for 3 years strong and I am better for it.
>>
>>14140973
Yeah I've learned to ignore them as well. /v/ told me Shadow of Mordor was just an Arkham City clone. I legit enjoyed Shadow of Mordor more than Witcher III.

> I legit enjoyed Shadow of Mordor more than Witcher III.
I can't compare since I've never played SoM, but I'm feeling like I preferred Assassins of Kings to Wild Hunt. Granted I'm only a little under 10 hours in, but Witcher 2 was a little more immediately engaging.

Generally, I've found /v/ has ok taste, but not when they're outright asked, you sorta have to skim for it.

You might have genuine autism, consider suicide.
You'd have to be utterly retarded to not understand how iconic Jotaro is and how he's referenced pretty much everywhere. Noticing that doesn't make you an anime-only, it means you don't have a God damn learning disability, which you seem to have.
Leaving aside the fact that it's not even the pose, given that he's not pointing with his finger and his head isn't angled correctly.

You might have genuine autism. Don't even consider suicide, just kill yourself.
You'd have to be utterly retarded to not understand how iconic /v/ is and how it's referenced pretty much everywhere on this board. Calling outcrossboarding doesn't make you smart, it means you have paranoia, which you seem to have.
Leaving aside the fact that it's not even wrong to crossboard, given that it's a feature of the site.

I'm just takin' the piss, and agree with you. I just don't like this "only muh board" mentality. As long as you don't drag the ton of shit in from another board, it's fine.

God I hate what the gaming industry has become, a bunch of fuckwit hacks that turn to gaming because they failed at trying to be real journalists.

Well, we wanted this, right? We wanted games to be taken more seriously, we wanted the possibility of huge budgets, we wanted gaming to be a mainstream industry.

We need another 1983.
>>
>>14143641
Even actual fucking journalists have some sort of pride to not shove out this shit.
>>
>>14140973
They always pick one bad thing about a game and shitpost it to oblivion regardless of quality, it's nearly put me of gaming. I'm pretty sure almost all of /v/ aren't even in their teens, let alone 18+.
>>
>>14143658
If a game just came out it's 11/10 best fucking game ever, once it passes over that 2 week threshold it's a gashgrabbing broken piece of shit and you are a bad person for playing it.
>>
>>14143696
It's only a terrible game if it gets popular
>>
>>14143696
Actually it's only 11/10 if it is as anti-game as possible. Pretentious postmodern design is more important than a game that is fun to play.

Interactive books, that's what the medium has become. Visual novels whose method of interaction could be confused for an actual game.

I don't even bother with reviews anymore because my tastes and what I value in games is so apart from the mainstream.

And I don't mean that from a pretentious standpoint. I mean it from a pic related standpoint. I found the sooner I accepted that, the more I could enjoy stuff.

The same could be said of mecha anime in general. It used to be the "it" thing in the 70s and 80s, now not so much.

I love these designs.

They're far on the furry scale, but they lack that sexual edge so much online furry art has. They look like, well, funny animal people, something that would not look out of place in, say, Busytown.

With all that said, I'll be going out ofmy way to forget all this once the usual business of online perversion kicks in. I know what's going to happen, and I don't want to see it.

This reminds me of one time where I was watching some dudes from Red Letter Media play Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic 2 for the Genesis. They never figured out how to roll, nor how to spindash, and there were literally times where they could not figure out how to run up a hill. They would idly run face first in to hazards (One time, running backwards in to a projectile), and complain about how they could not go fast because of the hazards.

It was painful, and the fact that so many people parrot their review of the games really showed me just how warped this sort of stuff can get.

>>14146327

Until i switched cockpit vie into the TV i couldnĀ“t aim at all without lock on .

Also i fly better switching off the gyroscope controls , to hold RZ only , but your experience may vary.

IĀ“m upt to stege 8 or so , not bad at all , the game truly delivers , also nintendo finally realized that no-one likes the frog , so this time its peppy who gets downed to the desert planet...

>64 main plot
Which itself is a remake of SNES Star Fox

Well at least now I can mock something else besides Ace Combat for pulling the whole "let's just rehash what works whenever we need to make money" routine.
>>
>>14154817
In fairness, the Star Fox games that tried to advance 64's timeline generally haven't been received too well (especially Adventures, which probably shouldn't have been a Star Fox game in the first place). Can you really blame Nintendo for playing it safe with that track record?
>>
>nintendo now openly shills on /m/

>>
>>14154817
Star Fox, like most rail shooter franchises, more or less has one story, which is "the [villains] are invading, go help".

Zero at least managed to make almost all of what's along the way different from 64, which is the important part.
>>
>>14154926
well , assault had potential , at least the first level , was awesome , epic , gave a sense of scale , like being in some space opera battle out of LOGH ,,,then it went downhill

We need a new enemy for starfox, and some updated ENEMY desings , i can deal with the arwings looking kinda the same with added functions , BUT it should be illegal to use those crappy enemy desing nowadays , until 64 you could say the hardware couldnĀ“t do it , now its just being lazy.

DonĀ“t get me worng , the gameplay its fine even if it forces motion controls down your throat .
But its time for starfox to face a new threat that isnĀ“t the same telepathic megalomaniac monkey... pleaseeeee....

and maybe donĀ“t wait a whole generation in between to make a new game for fucks sake i just bought a wii for smash bros, zelda and the hope for a new starfox....

>Fuck, Kirby managed to have many adversaries and still manage to get the recurring characters done properly.
It does help that they keep changing directors time and time again (although Kirby isn't hard to do right overall). Hell, Kirby finally recently became more sci-fi than ever before with Planet Robobot! On that note, the current mainstay director is Shinya Kumazaki, so given the engine being used I wonder if he's back for the new game as well.

Nah, man, there's a story behind that.
Old-ass Nintendo Power character art showed the whole Fox squadron with metal legs. Since they don't wear pressure suits (real pilots need this to prevent blood pooling in their legs during high-G maneuvers and knocking them out) fans in the 90's theorized that the pilots had their legs amputated to be able to withstand high-G maneuvers. It was a reference to that.
