I'm glad this is a case of actual girls manning an actual ship, and not some silly "The Cute girls are the ship/vehicle" ala Strike Witches, Arpeggio and KanColle. Not to say I didn't find some enjoyment in the aforementioned shows, and I'm not a realismfag either, but it's kind of refreshing for me since I haven't seen many shows that do this and I don't think there are many.
I was just surprised, because for some reason I went in to this thinking it was a show about those girls that go diving really deep for pearls, and instead I got something completely different.

High school girls join navy academy, each "class" gets assigned one ship, everyone in different roles according to their grades/aptitude tests. First activity is some orientation, they have to rendezvous at a certain place. The cute girls think they're just going to do some training, but upon their (late) arrival they get fired upon by their teacher. They don't really know what's going on and eventually they decide to fire a relatively harmless torpedo back at them, thinking it's a test, and they escape. Turns out the teacher was provoking them into firing back, and calls HQ and says they're mutinying. Girls are now branded rogue traitors who fired on their instructor. End episode.

I don't know if this is just going to be a double bait & switch, but if it doesn't just end up being some elaborate training exercise, the show'll probably be cute girls on a warship being implicated in some big conspiracy scheme for some reason and them trying to survive against the rest of the fleet. The MC's best friend is serving on another ship so there's plenty of potential there for some melodrama e.g. trying to convince her of their innocence/win her over while fighting each other

Anyway, none of us know since i think the plot is anime original, and I can't find any info about the manga, which only started a few months ago, anywhere.

So they loaded nothing but live ammunition for the Harekaze so they can actually say they were hit by the mutinying Harekaze.

Though, I'll laugh if the people that loaded the torpedo didn't realise that they loaded the real deal instead of the training torpedo, kind of like the destroyer William D. Porter, which fired live torpedos into the water in the direction of the battleship Iowa during training.

I wasn't expecting much but I'm really curious about where this shit is heading. I'm still partly convinced this is just some training exercise where one new ship is selected as the mouse while the other students chase them, but the way those naval guys reacted says it's not.

So this week, the german exchange student ship shows up and starts firing so it;s like "okay maybe they're the baddies" but then one of their own crew flees and they shoot at her so it's like, what? Then the Musashi called, so captain's friend is in trouble now.

I think it's a trap, but it might also be a case of crews removing rogue elements like the blonde and moka who are getting in the way of this weird coup.

Maybe there's some suspicious people amongst the crowds in the first ep?

I don't think anyone will die ever in this moe show. It will just turn out to be a comedic villainous plot.
