While I would rather this budget go to Origin I do think it's a dramatic improvement in direction and pacing unlike the SEED remasters. The scene transitions and pacing make more fluid, it's easier to understand the motivations of the Vist Foundation, Sleeves, and Londo Bell, and the new animation has improved a lot of fights already. The Sleeves actually seem relatable and not just Zeon fanatics because we get more screentime with them and the Federation is shown to overpower everyone besides Marida.

Marida herself is less deadpan and likable even before her identity is revealed. She is shown having NewType reactions and her decision to fight in the colony is partly motivated by the death of her teammate. Motivations and backstory for everyone are conveyed in more than just monologues. Banagher's connection to the Vist Foundation is hinted at earlier and he has more on screen interactions with Audrey. Background characters like Banagher's classmates seem like they might actually get some development.

Final episode of Gundam ZZ. The "Mineva" that was rescued confesses to being a double for the real Mineva. According to some video game, Char took the real Mineva from Haman between Zeta and ZZ. According to a sourcebook for Gundam Evolve, the girl known as "M" who was piloting the MP Qubeley that Judau rescued was the real Mineva.

What happened to the double from ZZ and how/why Mineva returned to Zeon from Jupiter (if you even consider Evolve to be canon anyway) are not known, so some people think Audrey is the fake and the real Mineva is with Judau.
I've seen people say that this is supposed to be confirmed in the Unicorn novels, but I've never read them and don't really trust /m/ when it links me to a page to buy an untranslated book I wouldn't be able to read and insists that doing this proves that they're right.

I'm I the only one here who doesn't hate that they are making an entire extra *gasp* 50 mins of content for Unicorn.

1. I actually liked Gundam Unicorn. It was fun, hopeful and expanded the UC's political background.
2. Sunrise needed to rush job out new TV stuff in a hurry to fulfil obligations.

Yeah I think that late UC does make the theme work a bit less, but the events of Unicorn do cause things to be less shit for a while.

My personal theory is that many newtypes and accepting oldtypes move out of the Earth sphere after the events of Unicorn, possibly joining Judau on his colony.
