Yeah but that's not what's important here. This guy was the face of Digimon. Of 7 series, he did the opening for 6 of them (even if one was a new version of the first one). You can't deny the kind of impact that has on a kid growing up with this franchise, to always see him come out with a song for the next new show. He isn't just a singer, Digimon as a franchise loses something with him gone, something it can't replace.

It would be like if pokemon lost Rica Matsumoto.
