Space Marxism intensifies
>>
Dunno what you're talking about because I'm not watching IBO but I'm reading 009 now and there's a Russian toddler promoting racemixing to a half-Japanese. Hope it's relevant to the thread.

go to bed Kissinger
>>
Are worker rights really the same thing as Marxism?

Isn't that kind of like saying that a cup of tea is the same thing as an Olympic-sized pool?
>>
>>14082783
Nope. Marxim means different things, not just rights for a certain group of people or profession.
>>
>>14082757
Space blandness intensifies
>>
>>14082783
To Americans they do, the same as every American movie showing every union in a bad light and borderline criminal.
>>
The entire middle part of IBO feels like a filler.

I'm pretty sure you can skip everything but
>taking off from mars
>making a deal with mafia
>landin on earth with the help of birdman
Without anything being lost
>>
>>14082819
>the same as every American movie showing every businessman or business owner in a bad light and borderline criminal.
It's on both sides, it just depends on the era of the film.
>>
>>14082757
>I've never read Marx: the thread
>>
>>14082849

to be honest I was more of an Abbot and Costello fan
>>
>>14082958
Sounds like they have a successor.
>>
>>14082819

Have you ever been in a Union? It's essentially a tax on the working class that goes directly to the shilliest Democrat candidate on the ballot. The same party that screams about how we're uneducated racists for being blue-collar. Fuck them and fuck Hillary Clinton.

>tfw the most enjoyable part of IBO was that it was my little brother's first mecha show and he loved it and Gusion Rebake.
>>
>>14082990
Congrats, your little brother has shit taste
>>
>>14082819
Because our unions have been a fucking joke for an extremely long time. They were useful in the industrial revolution but now all they do is keep old useless people around and screw people out of promotions by making them in order of seniority instead of competitiveness.
>>
God this series was such a forgettable fucking mess
>>

Don't cry man

You should thank your lucky star that it wasn't G-Reco

Just finished IBO today. Shit was bad.

You didn't finish it since there's still another season on the way.
>>

>Have you ever been in a Union?

Not him but yes, this is a union state so everyone here that's a tradesman belongs to one.
>>
>>14082783
>Are worker rights really the same thing as Marxism?

Its a stretch but the scene in the show goes along with the connotation that marxisim has.

>>14082819
Americans don't like unions, get over it.

Ironically your saying this in a show where the union was criminal.
>>
>>14085552
No Republicans don't like Unions.

Though I can understand if you are in a Union state and can't get a job because you can't fucking get a connection in a Union. Still though better than the other right to work states where EVEN IF YOU ARE DOING A GOOD JOB THEY CAN FIRE YOU BECAUSE THEY WANT TOO. Yes that has happened, yes it does fucking suck.

Commie bastard.
>>
>>14085572
It's tricky. Sometimes good workers are fired for shit reasons, sometimes shit workers can't be fired despite good reasons. I don't mind when a small union tries to protect workers in bad times or for striking (some would say to just let the market take its course and I can see why they'd say that but even still) but they're always trying to squeeze free shit out of businesses when it's not deserved. It's tricky finding a good balance but often I'd rather have a union-free market where workers can still organize unofficially and maintain rights to fight for good conditions if needed than a market with required unionization.
>>
>>14082757
I'm stuck one episode after with no will to keep going.
>>
>>14082819
I've yet to meet a union boss that wasn't a slimy scumbag

There's too many regulations out for that to happen anymore. Companies have to have a good reason to fire you these days or else you could claim they did it out of discrimination and sue the shit out of them.
>>
>>14088403

Not him but that's not the case in my state. The whole point of Right to Work means they can't refuse to hire you regardless of whether you're in a union or not, but the tradeoff is they can literally fire you for whatever, as long as the STATED reason isn't discriminitory. Before you say "no they can't", they literally can, I was in HR, I learned all about how RtW functions.

>>14086167

Then blame democracy. Union representatives are elected, not appointed.

Yeah but I live in a country where every part of daily life isn't repeatedly skullfucked.
>>
>>14082819
Because our unions actually are run by the mafia. That's not a joke. This happened shortly after prohibition was repealed and mobsters needed a new racket.
